Chapter 100 - Thrones and Threats

The guards opened the throne's doors. Lolita stormed inside the room, and Axel followed her. She decided not to bring Artemis along because she didn't want his company. Osa didn't deserve her respect with a bow; instead, her eyes narrowed onto the ruler's.

He sits high and mighty, sitting on his throne, smug as if he's better than everyone else. I'll show him, I'm a queen bee and I've a colony of Intermariams who are happily serving me. Cascadia is a country birthing moron faster than rabbits birthing bunnies.

Osa wore a golden boubou made from damask Bazin. "Lolita, you've dumped too many of your Intermariam prisoners at my reform camp. I've agreed to take in a thousand prisoners, not three thousand prisoners!"

She lifted a perfectly arched brow. "Our new detention facilities aren't finished."

His patience snapped. "Resources are drying up. I didn't sign up to feed your conscripts. And where's that water shipment you promised?"

Venom laced her words. "I'm not sending you water. You haven't delivered on your end of the contract."

Osa grimaced. "My Cascadian troops died trying to help your army. I've spent millions of dollars sending my troops from Cascadia to Grey Island. You still owe me that water; it was in our contract."

"No. You've sent me soldiers who were ill-equipped, poorly trained and useless. I didn't ask for morons to help serve my country-"

 "Don't you dare insult Cascadians!"

Lolita smirked. Cacadians. They were nothing but dead soldiers-losers and suckers too pitiful to win.

"Apologize to me at once." Osa bellowed and leapt out of his chair. His face turned purple, and his clenched fists sweated.

Chin jutting up, Lolita grinned at him. She wasn't scared of Osa; she knew making him angry meant the death penalty. However, she was the ruler of the Intermarium, and his rules didn't apply to her.

"No. I don't apologize to anyone." She turned her head to Axel. "We're leaving. I told you what I needed to tell you. I don't have time to listen to you being melodramatic."

She spun around and turned her back to Osa. Osa stormed down the stairs and yelled. "I wouldn't walk away from me. I'll make your country pay for betraying me. I'll bomb your country! Nobody crosses me and gets away with it! You're a ᶢǃ͡qʼ oNom pil kon ᵑǃ͡¡ "

Lolita faced him. She didn't care what oNom pil kon meant. All she knew it was an insult that meant something like fucktard or asshole.

"Don't make me laugh." She sneered. "You're about as threatening as a chihuahua is to a wolf."

Lolita and Axel exited the golden arch door.
