In the cafeteria, Felix, Kip and Nova sat at a table. Together they were eating their breakfast, which was cream cheese bagels.
"Alright," Felix replied and left to go sit with Kip and Nova at the table.
"I like your necklace." Jared approached Nova and smiled.
"Thank you." Nova is touching the blue beads. "Made it myself."
"Why're you here?" Felix snapped at Jared.
Jared rolled his eyes at Felix. "Are you scared of the dark? Is that why you were screaming?"
"Shut up!" Felix snapped. "Why don't you go back to your own country?" Felix retorted.
"I can't go back to Cascadia because I've been given asylum status here in Technate," Jared responded.
"Stop fighting." Nova snapped. "I don't want to listen to you two arguing."
"I'm done eating." Felix rose from the bench to put his plate on the rack of dirty dishes. He'd lost his appetite because of Jared.
