When the Avengers were brought to the secret base by Nick Fury, Allens led Ultron and Scarlet Witch to Seoul, South Korea.
There was a high-tech laboratory there—Dr. Helen Cho's lab, where she had developed the Regeneration Cradle.
At the moment, a scientist was working busily in front of a machine.
The Regeneration Cradle looked like a transparent capsule. Though it seemed simple on the outside, the technology within was cutting-edge, among the most advanced in the world.
"Dr. Cho, the cradle is already close to perfection. Why should we still rely on Stark Industries?"
An elderly Asian man with a white beard looked at the young female scientist with admiration, but also dissatisfaction. Though impressed by her genius, he resented the cooperation with Stark.
"You don't understand," Dr. Helen Cho replied firmly. "Without Stark Industries' technical support, it would take us ten more years to complete this technology."
Her words were not an exaggeration. Without Stark's resources, the cradle would indeed be delayed by years.
Swish.
Before she could say more, a blue light curtain appeared in the lab. From it stepped Allens, Ultron, and Wanda Maximoff—the Scarlet Witch.
"Who are you? Why are you here?!"
The scientist beside Helen shouted angrily.
"Too noisy."
Allens frowned slightly. With just a flick of his right hand, the man's head was severed cleanly from his body. The precision of the cut showed how terrifying Allens' psychokinesis had become.
Pssst.
Blood spurted from the corpse, but instead of falling, it hung suspended in the air. Helen had never seen anything like it. Her face went pale with terror.
"What… what are you going to do?"
She backed away in fright, her voice trembling.
"Dr. Helen Cho, your work is impressive. The Regeneration Cradle technology you developed will be very useful to me."
Allens stepped closer, touching her with the Mind Scepter. The Mind Stone's power flared, and Helen's eyes turned black for a moment. Her will was instantly rewritten.
"Mr. Allens, I'm honored to serve you," she said in a calm, obedient tone. Then her eyes shifted, growing analytical as she looked at Ultron. "But if your only goal is to build a body for this machine, that would be… wasteful."
Helen circled Ultron, studying him. "Ultron's body can evolve on its own. There's no need to create a body for him."
Allens' gaze deepened. He had never intended to make Ultron human. After all, Ultron's mechanical body carried infinite potential for evolution, something Allens did not wish to limit.
No—the true purpose of the Regeneration Cradle was different.
He wanted to use it, along with nanotech printing, to fuse the Mind Stone into his own body. Just like Vision… but this time, with himself as the vessel.
Click.
Raising his right hand, Allens unleashed his psychokinesis. The Mind Stone tore free from the scepter. At the same time, his right arm transformed into Vibranium, allowing him to hold the glowing stone in his palm.
Boom.
As soon as he grasped it, a surge of psychic power erupted outward, sweeping across Seoul. For an instant, the entire city froze—people, machines, even the wind—before time snapped back to normal.
"Incredible… the power of this stone is beyond comprehension."
Energy detectors in the lab spiked to their limits. Helen stared at the Mind Stone in awe.
"Can this gem be transplanted into my body using your Regeneration Cradle?"
Allens' eyes shone like stars. His excitement was tipping into madness.
"No," Helen said quickly. "That's impossible. A human body can't withstand its power."
But Allens only smiled. "What if we used Vibranium to create a synthetic organ at my pineal gland—something designed to carry the Mind Stone?"
Helen's eyes widened, her scientific instincts igniting. "Mr. Allens, that… that could work! The pineal gland is mostly vestigial. We could replace it entirely—use Vibranium particles fused with human cells to construct an organ capable of hosting the Mind Stone. By linking it directly to your brain, the integration might succeed."
She hurried to her console, her excitement rising as she began calculations.
"According to the data, our plan has a 70% chance of success. But… it will take time."
Allens looked at the projections on her screen and finally laughed, a sound filled with triumph.
"Excellent. Ultron, Wanda—while I undergo the integration, I'll send my duplicates to assist you."
Five figures split off from his body, each one carrying a fragment of his powers:
Duplicate One: Absorption
Duplicate Two: Electricity
Duplicate Three: Psychokinesis
Duplicate Four: Mechanics
Duplicate Five: Vibration
Each shared consciousness with the original, extensions of his will.
"Mr. Allens, please lie down in the cradle," Helen urged, almost trembling with anticipation.
He stripped off his clothes without hesitation and lay down inside. His physique was so flawless it made both Wanda and Helen momentarily pause.
Clack.
The cradle sealed shut. Allens closed his eyes as nanobeams scanned his body, building a complete molecular map. Above him, two centimeters from his forehead, the Mind Stone floated silently, pulsing with ominous power.
