"What three-headed dog? I never had Fluffy!"
Hagrid, as if he'd stepped on an electric switch, was so excited that even the roots of his beard began to tremble.
He pointed at Kyle and jumped up and down, "How dare you slander someone out of thin air!" "Oh..." Kyle said suddenly, "So his name is Fluffy. That's a good name."
Hagrid was stunned and quickly denied it. "I didn't... I didn't say anything. You heard me wrong."
He didn't dare admit it.
Throughout Hogwarts, his biggest fear was Kyle discovering Fluffy's existence. Even Dumbledore would have to stand back.
Kyle's father, Chris, was Deputy Director of the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures, responsible for magical creatures of unknown origin like Fluffy.
If Kyle wrote home about this, Fluffy would definitely be taken away. He wouldn't know whether he would live or die.
He himself might even be sent to Azkaban.
Thinking of Fluffy being killed, and the horrors of Azkaban, Hagrid broke out in a cold sweat.
"No, I absolutely cannot admit that."
Hagrid sternly adopted a look he considered menacing, trying to scare Kyle away.
His fierce expression, combined with his imposing, over three-meter-tall frame, honestly, made it seem quite plausible.
If one ignored Hagrid's shifty gaze and the sweat on his forehead, Kyle might have believed him.
"Okay, okay, I misheard you. You don't have a three-headed dog." Kyle waved his hand. "Just consider it a trivial question. Bye."
"By the way," Kyle took two steps, then suddenly turned and said, "If your puppy has symptoms like loss of appetite, irritability, or depression, don't worry. Just release it in the Forbidden Forest."
Since Hagrid didn't want him to see Fluffy, then he simply ignored it. There will be plenty of opportunities next year anyway.
Besides, what's the point of a small one? Wouldn't a big one be better?
After Fluffy was locked up in the room on the fourth floor, he could look at it however he wanted. Even if he wanted to pull some fur from it and knit a sock out of it, it would be no problem.
After leaving the Forbidden Forest, Kyle walked leisurely across the grass. When he reached the gate of the castle, he accidentally saw a familiar figure flash by.
Kyle walked over curiously, and then he found a small figure squatting in the bushes at the gate of the castle, sticking his head out, looking for something.
"Kanna? What are you doing here?" Kyle asked curiously.
"Who!"
The sudden voice scared Kanna, and it took her a while to recover.
"I, I'm looking for something." Kanna looked up at Kyle, and continued to search in the bushes.
Seeing this, Kyle pulled out his wand and said, "How long will it take you to find it like this? Let me help you."
Kanna seemed to have guessed his intention and immediately shook her head. "No, I dropped Galleons. The Accio won't work."
Every piece of wizarding currency, whether Galleons, Sickles, or Knuts, has an Anti-Scramble Charm on it, like a watermark, a basic anti-theft measure.
Hearing this, Kyle could only put away his wand and go to the other side to help search.
Kanna didn't really want to bother Kyle; otherwise, she wouldn't have come here alone without telling anyone.
But thinking of her own predicament, she hesitated for a moment before whispering, "Thank you, thank you."
"No big deal, we're friends," Kyle waved his hand nonchalantly. "By the way, how many Galleons did you drop?"
"Twenty,"
Kyle thought, thinking he'd misheard, and instinctively asked, "How many?!"
"Twenty," Kanna whispered, "Maybe more. I've been losing Galleons since I started school, and these are my last."
"Uh..."
Kyle smacked his lips, wordlessly lowering his head to pick through the brush.
Wow, over twenty Galleons dropped at once! If it were him, Kyle would probably have felt like killing someone.

The bushes at the castle gate weren't small, and the two of them spent over an hour searching.
But the results were disappointing.
Not even a single Knut, let alone a Galleon.
Kyle stood up, rubbing his waist, and asked, "Are you sure it dropped here?"
"I, I don't know,"
Kanna said after a moment's silence. "It was there before Herbology class yesterday, but it suddenly disappeared this morning."
"Could it have dropped it during flying class?" Kyle thought for a moment. "Did you look at the Quidditch pitch?"
"We looked this morning," Kanna said. "It's not on the Quidditch pitch or in the castle. If it's not here, then the greenhouse is the only place left."
"Greenhouse. Nothing," Kyle said firmly.
He couldn't say anything about other places, but the greenhouse... Kyle was absolutely sure no one had dropped anything there. The ground was spotless.
He'd been looking very carefully.
"How about we look elsewhere?" Kyle suggested. "What if we missed it just now?"
"No need." Kanna shook her head.
She'd never found the Galleons she'd lost before, and this time wouldn't be the same. It was obvious how someone could find Galleons after losing them.
"Alright." Kyle didn't insist. In his opinion, a pureblood family like Kanna, who could afford the Transcendental Robe, was likely never short of Galleons.
Twenty or thirty Galleons wouldn't be a big deal.
He patted the dirt off his body and said casually, "Do you need me to lend you some before your owl comes?"
Kanna's eyes were dazed for a moment, and after a moment of silence, she said, "It's okay. I don't need Galleons at Hogwarts. I'll go to Gringotts to get them after the holidays. It's just the rat tonic during this period... Can I pay after Christmas?"
Kyle paused slightly as he patted his robe, then looked at Kanna and said, "Don't worry about that. It's no problem even if you pay next year."
After Kyle patted his robe clean, the two walked towards the castle together.
On the way, Kyle asked curiously, "By the way, where is your rat? Why don't you bring it with you?"
"Pochi?" Speaking of her pet, Kanna rarely smiled, "It's playing with Darlene's hamster in the dormitory."
"What's the matter with a rat and a hamster playing together?" Kyle curled his lips and said, "I have a friend, Percy Weasley from Gryffindor. He also has a rat. I'll introduce them to each other later."
"By the way, is your Pochi a male or a female?"
Kanna blushed a little, but still answered in a low voice, "Female, female."
"That's perfect." Kyle's eyes lit up and said, "Percy's Scabbers is a male. Why don't we just pair them up? That way, we can have another litter of mice next year."
