Chapter 15 - Chapter 14: Filthy Prisoner Blood Shan't Taint MY Adamas (She's MINE, Brother)

"You shall sail the iron ship with warriors of bone,

You shall find what you seek and make it your own,

But despair for your life entombed within stone,

And fail without friends, to fly home alone."

"𝕿𝖍𝖊 𝖜𝖔𝖗𝖑𝖉 𝖎𝖘 𝖓𝖔 𝖑𝖔𝖓𝖌𝖊𝖗 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖘𝖆𝖒𝖊

𝕬𝖘 𝖆 𝖓𝖊𝖜 𝖋𝖔𝖗𝖈𝖊 𝖏𝖔𝖎𝖓𝖘 𝖎𝖓 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖋𝖗𝖆𝖞.

𝕬𝖓𝖉 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖔𝖑𝖉 𝖜𝖔𝖗𝖑𝖉, 𝖘𝖍𝖆𝖑𝖑 𝖔𝖗 𝖘𝖍𝖆𝖓'𝖙 𝖉𝖎𝖘𝖆𝖕𝖕𝖊𝖆𝖗?"

"Two prophecies?

This has never happened in the canon events.

Is it because of her that everything changes?

Better change things than for them to stay the same."

"I care not about this world, nor do I care for the humans here.

As long as they are alive and safe, then that's all that matters.

Someone else trying to rewrite MY mother's manuscript?

Then we shall help her rewrite everything, including ourselves."

"Everything's intriguing.

Despite its imperfection, this world intrigues me.

My brother and sister changed a lot, although I know Poseidonas will deny it.

But dear little brother, why are you trying to steal her away?"

"I need to be careful.

I must not be consumed by this new power and authority.

I won't allow that plagiarist to rewrite MY entire work!

I must protect MY son and MY niece and nephews!"

『Chapters 14 - ???』

==================================================================================================================

The world was trembling again.

So many changes has happened in this world. Not even the Mist created by Hecate, the goddess of magic, could fully hide the changes in the world. Every mortals could see it. How the moon suddenly change cycles. How the stars both reappear and disappear. How there are more frequent earthquakes, climate changes, etc.

Not even the top scientists in the world could explain the phenomenon. Many religious groups and cults would claim that the end is near. But in the end, the mortals, over time, has adapted to the changes of the world.

The words in Sally's 『manuscript』 rippled like disturbed water, glowing faintly gold. Her entire room is filled with glowing floating words like writings on a talisman.

She sat at her desk, her eyes shadowed with exhaustion and fury. Her 『book』 had enlarged and the pages turned on their own. Every page of her 『book』 was a battlefield now—each word a war between her will and the will of someone else who dared to 『rewrite』 over her reality.

Her 『pen』 moved fast. Faster than it should have.

"Not this time," she whispered. "You won't rewrite my son or my niece and nephew. I won't allow you to rewrite this world and plagiarize my story!"

[Unknown dimension...]

Yesterday, somewhere in that fragile world between mortal world, glitched reality, and divine domain, one of Sally's fragments called upon her son, nephew, and niece using her own divine aura.

Percy, Adamas, and Aidoneus answered to her distress call and was standing before her, the glitching world around them trembling with divine hum.

The trio immediately were on alert upon seeing Sally's state and their surroundings. Despite looking clean and neat, she looked a bit paler and more exhausted than before. Sally's voice was calm but steady. "I'm... tired. I can't fight this alone anymore. Someone else is rewriting our world. I don't know who they are, but their power is strong enough to change my manuscript."

Percy frowned. "Mother, you mean... another 『Author』 like you?"

At the mention of the word 『Author』, they could all feel the slight tremor from the winds. But, unlike before, they could no longer hear the white noise nor they could feel the earth tremble beneath their feet.

Adamas was quick to point this out. "Aunt Sally, how are we able to freely mention that word?"

Both Percy and Aidoneus also questioned the same thing.

"We weren't able to use or mention that word freely before to describe mother's current status."

"Indeed. Something must have happened."

The trio looked at Sally for answers.

Sally looked at the three, her divine aura flickering and slowly showing its current state. Her own divine aura encased the three of them. All three then noticed the new power within their essence. "Correct. The reason why you three are now able to freely mention that word is because I was giving you all what I call as 『Archí Anagnósti』. For now, it's limited. With the Archí Anagnósti, you'll all be able to remember the changes in this world, even when the world forgets. You'll also be able to give out some constructive criticism and opinions. But be careful. Despite having your current status as my Anagnóstes, none of you are 『E■■』 as of yet as I am not yet strong enough to give you all the same authority."

Adamas, ever observant, tilted her head. "So we'll be aware when the world rewrites itself? Just like being aware of the existence of 4th wall itself?"

"Indeed," Sally said. "But it will still hurt. Changes in reality will twist your very essence, memories will bleed, and you'll feel both—or more depending on how many will be rewritten— versions of truth until one stabilizes."

She paused for a short while to give them each a copy of her 『manuscript』, the same one that she wrote to write their current world. "As Anagnóstes, you are all able to read my manuscript's true form and its drafts. Adamas, you already know how an Anagnósti works as you are already one yourself."

This shocks her former brothers. Adamas only smiled softly at them. "Ah, yes. Right, Aunt Sally. Poseidonas, you do remember the times where I was saying things that sounds a lot like knowing the future, yes?" This made Percy's eyes widen a bit in realization. "That's me having some of the authority as an Anagnósti. As an Anagnósti, like what Aunt Sally said, we are given the power to read an 『Author's』 manuscript's true form, like Aunt Sally's 「The Memoirs Of The Damned」. It's a lot similar to like how we, as gods, were watching over our domains."

"In literature, Anagnóstes are both the alpha readers and beta readers. We read the author's manuscript to give constructive criticism to their works before the final edit and publishing. But, from how I see it," she glanced at her brothers and then turned to Sally, "I am the alpha reader with them as the beta readers, am I right?"

This earns her a nod from Sally. Aidoneus then voiced out the question that has been in both his and Percy's minds after listening to her explanation. "But it's odd, Adamas. From what we all gather, Aunt Sally has been an 『Author』 just recently so she should not be the one to give you such authority. How did you become an Anagnósti way before that?"

Percy continued after him. "I agree. Mother literally just became an Author. With the way you knew things before, you became an Anagnósti for years."

Adamas' eyes dimmed which worried them. "I... honestly don't remember. It's almost like someone has tampered my memories on purpose. It could have happened right after I died or maybe before."

They were alarmed at her confession.

Sally then gave them the draft for her manuscript's next arc. "I have also just discovered that by helping me proofread my manuscript and even make some edits back then, even before I have discovered my 『Author』 status, you've also gained very small partial awareness of this world's 『manuscript』."

The trio, especially Percy, remembered the time where Percy was about to k̶i̶l̶l̶ Luke but in the end, spared him against his own will. So that is how we gained partial awareness to 『rewriting』. It looks like mother is a lot more powerful than we thought. Despite being completely unaware of her status as 『Author』 before, she still has the power to influence and change this world. This entire world itself is her 『manuscript』 and every one of us are her characters. Despite knowing about the truth, he only hummed with pride. As expected of the mortal woman who I chose as my mother.

Both Adamas and Aidoneus heard the slight hum of pride from their former brother but did not comment on it. After all, they know that Sally herself is no ordinary mortal. They are both amazed at how much she changed him, at making him care for others (only for those that mattered to him) than himself.

Percy exchanged glances with Aidoneus and Adamas. "And what happens when the 『rewriting』 becomes too powerful for us?" asked Aidoneus. The question lingered within their minds. They had an idea on what might happened and shuddered at the thought of the answer.

Sally smiled sadly. "Then the universe will continue... just completely different. The others like me will eventually completely 『rewrite』 the entire universe and everything I have built and we have known and loved will ceased to exist."

That night, as Sally furiously wrote, her 『manuscript』 pulsed—her eldritch essence tethered to every ripple of her story. Words formed before her like shadows moving all around: Percy Jackson dreams again. And this time, it is not about the past that has long passed but the possible future.

The 『pen』 trembled. Her world began to play out.

Percy somehow felt himself split into half. No. More like he could feel another one with the same existence as him. He knew that he isn't awake but is asleep and is currently dreaming. He could feel Morpheus, the 『god of dreams』 lingering like a leech around his own dream. And there he saw it: another version of him was running from something. This version was different from him as he feels weak and so mortal. So imperfect.

He must be the original version of my human form, Perseus Jackson. He then paused as he realized something. Hold on. I never should have known this. Is this one of the powers of an Anagnósti? Knowing about the 『cannon-wise』? Like one of those fanfictions and alternate universes that Adamas made me read before?

He sensed Morpheus feeling utterly confused and in pain. Interesting. So 『censorship』 also works on Morpheus as well. With his own domain, he has the power to obtain new information from a dream, even if his job is to deliver messages. But it seems like he has no authority to be able to freely filter out the censorship.

He decided to ignore Morpheus like the cold tyrant he is and proceeds to observe his 『cannon version』.

The streets then twisted, becoming endless hallways of marble and ocean foam from the beach. Somewhere ahead, *Grover* screamed his name.

*Percy* sprinted faster—his surroundings warping between mortal and divine. A bridal shop loomed before him, and inside, *Grover* cowered in a torn wedding dress.

"*Grover*!" *Percy* shouted.

But before he could reach him, shadows congealed—something massive and unseen breathing down the satyr's neck. *Grover*'s voice cracked through the darkness:

"Percy, help me—"

The dream shattered. Percy gasped awake, clearly irritated that Morpheus cut off his 'dream'. He needed more answers on what happens next. Curse you, Morpheus. If it weren't for the fact that I find you useful, I would have already impaled you with my trident for that damn cliffhanger.

From downstairs, his mother called, "Percy! Breakfast is ready!"

He blinked, the world still half-melted between dream and waking.

Was that Sally's work? Did she give me a glimpse of what the alternate universe is like? I highly doubt that it was Morpheus' work alone.

[6:00 am...]

Sally greeted him with a warm smile amd she did the same with both Adamas and Aidoneus as well. "Morning, Percy, Ada, Doneus." She then noticed his irritation. "Did you have a dream, Percy?"

"Yeah," he muttered as he sat down.

Aidoneus got confused at what Sally called him. "Doneus, Aunt Sally?"

Adamas answered for him. "It's Aunt Sally's nickname for you, just like how she called me as Ada." He nods in understanding.

Adamas frowned at Percy's answer. "A dream? It's been years since you last had one. What did cliffhanger-b*tch say?"

Aidoneus chuckled at the nickname while Percy just smirked in satisfaction. "Did you just call the dream god with such derogatory nickname?"

Percy merely sip his blue Fanta gracefully like it's tea. He said while grinning like a psychopath, "It is befitting of that fool. He didn't let me finish the dream that I just had, ending it like a cliffhanger."

Adamas, being the little sh*t that she is, just laughs. Aidoneus only chuckled.

Sally served them all blue pancakes, though the syrup dripped too thickly—like ink instead of honey.

"Percy, Adamas, one of your fellow Camp Half-Blood campers, Annabeth, told me to pass this message to you. She says that Chiron says you might not be coming back to camp this year," she said softly.

Percy only scoffed at it. Adamas had her eyebrows furrowed. "What? Why?"

Sally's voice faltered. "Could be because of me. Everyone, including the mortals and the mythos feels it. Also, based on the 『cannon version』, the wards at Camp Half-Blood are failing. It's another time for a new prophecy."

"A new prophecy?"

Sally just smirked at them. "Ah, ah, ah~ No spoilers yet~ Despite becoming newly appointed Anagnóstes, I am not at liberty to tell you everything. But I'll tell you this: you, Percy, will still be required to return back to Camp, despite what Chiron said."

Percy could only frown but said nothing. After all, everyone knows how much he hates mortals and being surrounded by them.

Sally slowly exhaled. "We'll talk more when you get back from school. For now, just... try to have a normal day, okay? And you too, Aidoneus. I've had you enrolled as an 11th grade student. You also need to experience being an ordinary 'human' even if it's only for a while in order to further acclimate yourself in this world."

The siblings all nod.

Adamas and Percy arrived at school to find things subtly wrong. The colors of the lockers were different. The teacher they'd known all year greeted him with the wrong name. Even Tyson—the homeless, gentle giant of a friend whom they both found out is a Cyclops and a child of Percy's imperfect sperm donor from the aura alone—seemed more real than the rest of the world. They both realized the work of the Mist.

Gym class began like a blur—Matt Sloane, the new bully after that Nancy B0b0fit, sneered, his new "friends" watching from the corner. But when both Adamas and Percy blinked, their eyes glowed bronze. Their smiles split too wide. Even Tyson told them that he and his friends smell weird.

The smell of sulfur filled the air.

"Now," Matt said mockingly. "Let's see if you lot can dodge THIS!!!"

He threw the ball aiming at them which they only dodged. One of Matt's new "friends" caught the ball and threw it with such speed that one might mistaken him to actually kill them. The duo dodged with their superior reflexes. Then something terrible happened.

The duo realized immediately that Matt Sloane's new friends are no humans nor halflings but monsters. They were growing in size. They were no longer kids. They were eight-foot-tall giants with wild eyes, pointy teeth, and hairy arms tattooed with snakes and hula women and Valentine hearts.

Laistrygonians.

Matt Sloan stood up with difficulties and his eyes widened at the 'new friends'. "Whoa! You're not from any fantasy movies! Who—"

The dodgeballs erupted into fire, and chaos filled the gym. Percy moved fast, summoning his trident out of thin air. Adamas used a bit of her divine aura to put all the students to sleep and carried them out of harm's way. Tyson roared, batting fireballs aside like toys.

The battle was slightly messy and frantic at best. Two monsters down, the last one lunged—until the skylight shattered, and Annabeth dropped in, dagger-first. Her baseball cap removed and held by her.

She glanced at the siblings with slight fear but overwhelming bravery. "Hey, guys."

Percy scoffed. "What are you doing here, Athena's halfling?"

"Got no time. Camp's under attack. Grab Tyson. Percy, Adamas, we're leaving."

Her tone was clipped, but her eyes flicked once toward the trembling air around her—as if she knew something about reality was wrong.

With the help of Adamas and her authority as the Alpha Anagnósti, she and the group managed to avoid travelling by the Chariot of Damnation. Instead, both Percy and Adamas leaped through buildings and then flew through the air. Adamas carried Annabeth at her back and coated her with a small amount of her aura to protect her body from the air pressure. Percy, surprisingly, had encased Tyson with transparent water mixed with his divine aura. The water barrier did not harm him at all but protected him. He manipulated the water barrier to make Tyson follow him as they travel to Camp Half-Blood.

The storm that followed was pure chaos. They reached Camp Half-Blood just as two colossal Colchis bulls broke through the boundary—flames scorching the grass.

Annabeth's curses mixed with Tyson's laughter as they fought side by side. Percy, Adamas, and Aidoneus—who joined the group when Adamas told him what happened albeit telepathically— felt it again—the distortion, the way the world lagged as if reality itself was buffering.

The unknown 『Author』 had made their move again.

Tyson's arm burned bright, metal beneath flesh. He blocked a fire breath, unharmed.

"Percy!" Annabeth shouted. "He's—he's a Cyclops!"

But did not Athena's halfling already knew about Tyson just a while ago? Why did she mention it again?

The world pulsed. Percy blinked—and for a second, he saw faint gold lines of text in the air above Tyson: "Son of Poseidon, forged from forgotten ink."

"The Cyclops, c■■t■d b■ ■e v■y e■■e ■ t■ T■r■t ■ t■ S■."

"A monster-like creature b■ o■ ■ t■ c■l a■p■t ■ t■ S■."

Then it was gone.

The trio all looked at each other. They all saw it: those faint gold texts. Even the 『censorship』 as well. But if the words were censored, then that means that their authority is not yet strong enough to know.

When the bulls fell, the smell of burning parchment lingered.

The camp was different—smaller somehow. Tantalus replaced Chiron, the demigods no longer laughed and joked around, fearing the slightest mistake might set off Tantalus.

Even the pine tree—Thalia's tree—looked sick, its roots, somehow, bleeding golden ink instead of sap.

At dinner, when Poseidon's trident symbol appeared above Tyson's head, the campers whispered. Even they hesitated—deciding whether they liked that revelation or not.

Percy looked at his "brother", at the way the world glitched for a heartbeat. A Cyclops as a brother, huh? That damn imperfect sperm donor had ruined the origin of my creatures!

Somewhere, Sally gasped, gripping her pen. "They're trying to 『rewrite』 even this 『arc』."

Her manuscript trembled. The other 『Author』 was tampering again.

[Inside Poseidon's Cabin...]

That night, Percy had been restrained by both Adamas and Aidoneus.

"That filthy prisoner dared to insult me?" He growl as the cup he was holding broke from his tight grip.

Tantalus had the gall to insult Percy and even eyed on Adamas lustfully. If it weren't for Adamas' and Aidoneus' quick thinking, he would have already went on a rampage.

Aidoneus gripped his shoulder tightly. "Calm down, Poseidonas. Haste not. If we want to deal with Tantalus, we first need to find a way to reinstate Chiron."

Adamas agreed to his explanation. "He's right, brother. We need to find a good strategy to not only take him down permanently but also to have Chiron return here. We cannot just go on a killing spree. We all felt it a while ago, remember? The unknown 『Author』 is actively trying to 『rewrite』 this world's 『plot』."

Percy slightly calmed down.

Aidoneus, sensing that Percy calmed down a bit, let go of his grip. "If that's the case, then Adamas. Do you have any idea on what the unknown 『Author』 planned when they manipulated this universe?"

Adamas could only shook her head.

Percy sat down and let Adamas combed his hair. "If I see that that filthy prisoner tries to do something, I shall kill that filth and bathe the streets red. Filthy prisoner blood shan't taint MY Adamas."

"She's MINE, brother," said Aidoneus, his tone contains a lot of jealousy after hearing Percy's declaration.

Adamas could only chuckle in disbelief.
