Asher Forrest flicked his hair back and flashed what he thought was a handsome smile. "Hey there, sweetheart."
Maeve Lane, Sarah Sutton, and Nina Quinn all shuddered simultaneously.
Maeve gave him a look like he was an idiot. She'd already found him annoying during the meeting earlier.
"Move aside."
If Asher were remotely normal, he'd see how impatient Maeve looked.
But clearly, he didn't have the insight for that.
Asher snorted and walked right up to Maeve, reaching out to pinch her chin. Maeve knocked his hand away with the back of her hand, her voice cold enough to make one shiver, "Can't understand human speech?"
"Oh, you're good at playing hard to get, aren't you?" Asher gave Maeve an up-and-down glance. "You were staring at me just now, and now you don't want to look?"

Sarah and Nina: "..."
"Which eye of yours saw me staring at you?"
Asher's eyes glinted with disdain. "Don't deny it. I saw it. You like me, are you one of my fans?"
