What blessing?
The Daoist at the stall with the Life Divination Banner had been frowning since the Zhu father and son appeared.
Unlike other stalls crowded with people and thriving business, his was empty and barely had any customers. Finally, someone sat down at his place.
The Daoist just straightened his posture: "Madam, I see ominous signs on your face, perhaps there is…"
He had only spoken a few words.
"How dare you speak like that, young man?"
The elderly woman in coarse cotton clothes pulled a long face and abruptly stood up: "I was just tired from walking and wanted to rest a bit at your stall. If you want my business, couldn't you say something nice instead of cursing me?"
The city's most famous fortune teller had said her life would be smooth!
"The Goddess Temple enshrines Guanyin, and Buddhists and Daoists have always stood apart. What's a Daoist doing here causing a scene?"
The Daoist was indifferent.
If there weren't many people here, he wouldn't have come.
