Frey initially viewed Duke with a hint of superiority, not considering these so-called wizards as any threat.
She was more curious, wanting to see what was different about Duke, who came from another realm.
Of course, Frey wasn't simply helping Duke; the token she gave him was tampered with to track locations.
But Duke was very cautious and directly buried the token deep underground after leaving the Toulouse Territory, thwarting Frey's plan to continue tracking him.
Frey now understands that if she had continued tracking back then and discovered the wizards' lair, she might have died a miserable death.
Duke's act of discarding the token actually saved her life; otherwise, curiosity would have killed the cat.
"Do you regret helping me back then?" Duke suddenly asked after hearing it all.
Frey was stunned for a moment, then smiled bitterly, "Even if I had caused you some trouble back then, it wouldn't change the current situation."
