In the evening, Serena Sutton returned from Caleb Lockwood's home to find Professor Sutton and Ms. Hayes sitting on the sofa, the TV was on, and the two were squabbling over the remote control.
Professor Sutton, in a huff, said, "What's there to see in those idol dramas full of Mary Sue characters? Wouldn't it be better to watch some workplace-themed shows?"
Ms. Hayes snorted, snatching the remote control away, "I love watching them, no one's forcing you to join. Go to bed."
Professor Sutton: Defeated.
This was already the norm in the house, and Serena Sutton couldn't understand why there wasn't just one TV at home. Moreover, they even have computers, and if all else fails, they have phones; they can easily watch online, so why are these two still fighting over the remote?
Year after year, and they seemed to enjoy it.
The world of middle-aged and older people was beyond her comprehension.
