In the second district, the people were happy, the streets were clean and the businesses were booming. The organized hustle and bustle made it easy for people to move about. Truly it deserved the title of the architectual marvel. Hajime and Elisa went to a nearby inn. The petals of golden light inn, run by a young woman and her seven year old daughter. Upon entering, Hajime treated her and requested a single room with two beds. However, there were only one bed single rooms, which delighted Elisa and disturbed Hajime slightly. He reluctantly agreed, since they required a single room for the purpose of their imperial Capital operations. They rented out the room for the next 60 days. A day's stay was worth one large limphere, this meant sixty days would sum up to three pounds or silver coins.
The receptionist was happy and introduced herself
As Miss Mina, the owner on the establishment. Hajime and Elisa, went up to their room. Once they entered, they cast a sound proofing spell on the doors and walls, as well as, a magic sense nullification rune.
They decided to go out and run errands. Elisa dragged Hajime with her to the market. While there, Hajime found a mask for her. Using his system's Inventory identification feature, the information of the mask appeared.

Hajime bought it for her and she wore it with joy. However. She took it off again, saying there was something she wanted to do before, she was stuck wearing the mask.
She dragged Hajime along once more. They were now at a clothing store. Inside, Elisa asked Hajime to sit while she tries on some clothes. Although Hajime was uncomfortable, he had to do it. This was because, even though years of emptiness had left him cruel and heartless, Elisa's smile seemed to cure him.
With a sudden tug of a curtain, a gentle female voice called out.
" So, how do I look?".
Hajime was at a loss, his cheeks were flushed his heart rate off the charts as he look at the stunning whit haired beauty before him in a sleek and slender, blood red silk gown with flares at it ends. Hajime could only say,
" beautiful!".
In a sincere and overwhelmed tone. Elisa blushed at his compliment, and Hajime told the shop keeper that he'd buy all the clothes in her size. By the time they had left, they had countless bags of clothing and they all totaled to an outstanding five noble.
Hajime gave Elisa his spare dimension pouch and asked her to store the clothes in it for the time being.
They were headed back to the inn, when a scream from a nearby alleyway caught their attention. Hajime decided to take the roof top while Elisa walked in from the entrance.
It was the inn keeper, Miss Mina's daughter, Colette. She was being hounded by a group of grown men. Elisa called out to them and was furious, telling them not to put a finger on her. Colette recognized them as the two people that came to the inn that morning. The group of assailants turned their attention to a more grown up Elisa and voiced out their vulgar intentions. They thought they would get their way. However, they were wrong. From the roof top, Hajime suddenly appeared before them, having jumped of the edge of the building he scaled.
the assailants were too confident in their abilities. The leader of the group of scum, charged towards Hajime, telling him to back off from his affairs. Hajime scoffed saying,
" Affairs?, affairs!!?. You filthy piece of scum. You call laying your filthy hands on someone's daughter and then attempting to attack my fiancee, affairs!!!?. I'll teach you some manners".
With that said, he activated menace. The skill's intense aura pressure, made the assailants and even Collete shutter. Hajime asked Elisa to tend to Collete, whose clothes were torn.
Hajime then grabbed the leader of the assailants by the collar and lifted him off the ground.
" Look you old fart!!. I'm much younger than you and yet my common sense works better. Of you try me again, you'll meet your ancestors early.
Now, run!!!!".
The assailants scurried and ran so fast, they tripped over their own two feet. Hajime wiped his hands from the dirt, and went to check on Collete. Collete looked at Hajime, still wearing a mask and said,
"Thank you sir, I owe you my gratitude".
Hajime was pleased and responded, " it's fine, I'd be devastated if I stayed at your inn and couldn't do anything to help ".
Collete was charmed and blushed as she looked at Hajime. Elisa helped her up and they made their way out of the alleyway, using he back alley. Hajime looked at the direction the assailants ran towards and called out Lily for her opinion. Lily was also baffled.
" Master, wasn't the imperial Capital a highly monitored crime free zone?, and yet, the screams were ignored by everyone".
Hajime responded, " it would seem something suspicious was going on in the third district. Judging from where they ran, they're from the third district".
Taking out Alfonse's business card, Hajime decided to visit the third district.
With that, the first out of ten days until the awakening ceremony in the first district, had passed.
Back at the inn,
" I'm very grateful for your intervention Sir Felix. If you and your fiancee hadn't been there, my daughter would be hurt or worse".
Miss Mina expressed her gratitude.
Hajime was curious about the sudden ride in social vice and asked whether the knight guard was not patrolling any longer. Miss Mina sighed and began to talk.
" Well, you see Sir Felix, there's been some fuss about a civil war being stirred up from within the ranks of the three sons of the Emperor. All three of them were asked to govern a district, to prove their worth to their father. However, some disagreements have led to each of them Seeking to find other, somewhat cunning ways to size the throne from Emperor Roseworth".
Hajime thanked Miss Mina and both him and Elisa retired to their room.
The night was young and the moon cast it's crimson sheen on the imperial Capital. Hajime decided that The Reaper should go hunting for information. Hajime, wearing his reaper mask this time round, was about to go, when Elisa woke up and offered to join him. To Hajime, It did not seem like an offer or a suggestion. But rather a command. Now wearing the Unseen maiden mask, Hajime and Elisa leapt out of their room window.
The night held untold mysteries and it was time the stone turning began for the vigilante and his loving accomplice.
