Chapter 12 - What Actually Happened

October began like a sunrise — full of hope, glowing with dreams, and carrying the promise of a fresh chapter. Abhiram stepped into the month believing this would be the turning point of his life. But reality, as always, had its own plans.

College timings were long, heavy, and exhausting. Winter mornings made it even worse — waking up early felt like lifting mountains. His body felt weak, his mind drained, his energy slipping away day by day. Even when his heart was willing, his health didn't cooperate.

Attendance dropped. Not because of laziness… But because his body simply couldn't keep up.

He tried to fight through it, pushing himself harder each day, but the travel, the timings, the mental load — everything pressed on him at once.

The CA Test-1 was expected to be a fresh start. Instead, it became a harsh reminder of past gaps.

He failed. Not because he didn't try, but because he didn't even have the basics that school never taught him properly.

He tried to stay strong… but it hurt. Deeply.

CA Test-2 came, and once again, it became zero. Not because he wasn't capable —

but because travel, exhaustion, stress, and weak fundamentals formed a wall he couldn't break through yet.

Zero + zero = no internal marks.

It felt like everything was collapsing at once.

Leaving home early, waiting for buses, squeezing into overcrowded MTC routes, dealing with traffic, long routes, and reaching college already half-tired…

Then returning home late — sometimes 8:30, sometimes even 9 PM.

The travel alone took the life out of him.

He came home tired, mentally gone, physically drained — not a single drop of energy left to study.

And when the college bus changed routes, the struggle doubled. He was already drowning, and this pushed him deeper.

He had classmates, he had people to talk to… but no one truly close. No one who knew what he was going through. No one who understood his pressure, stress, or fears.

He did everything alone — assignments, records, studying, notes — carrying the weight silently.

He remembered his past betrayals,

so trusting others felt dangerous.

He kept his distance, even if it hurt him inside.

But Still… He Didn't Give Up

He showed silent discipline.

He completed his work.

He never skipped responsibilities.

Even when his health fell,

even when marks were zero,

even when his mind was tired —

he didn't quit.

The world didn't see it,

but he was surviving battles every single day.

Then he realized…

If he wanted a new life, he needed a new mindset.

He began his transformation journey:

More focus

More self-control

More discipline

Less social media

More learning

More self-improvement

He accepted his situation,

accepted his failures,

and decided to rise anyway.

With zero internal marks,

with two failed CA tests,

with exhaustion and stress behind him —

he has only one chance left.

The Semester Exam. His only saviour.

His last window. His biggest challenge.

But he is not scared anymore.

He is determined.

Focused.

Reborn.

He wants to score 100/100, not for the college, not for others, but to prove to himself that he is stronger than everything he survived.

And This Is the Truth:

He didn't break.

He didn't collapse.

He didn't run away.

He stood up.

He fought silently.

He transformed.

And now he is rising again — not as the boy who entered college with fear, but as the young man who is shaping his destiny with courage and discipline.
