Chapter 100 - "The Four-Star Gamble"

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Vegeta stared in shock. "Wait… wasn't the fusion supposed to last thirty minutes?"

Goku scratched his head. "Oh, right. Must be 'cause we fused while using Super Saiyan 4. Burned through too much energy, so the time ran out faster."

"Damn it! If I'd known, I wouldn't have messed around—we should've finished him off earlier."

"You idiot!" Vegeta snapped, fists clenched.

"So close," Goku muttered, frustrated.

The fusion between Goku and Vegeta had broken at the worst possible moment.

Omega Shenron sneered. "What a pity. Victory was right in your grasp."

"Your luck is truly awful."

Vegeta smirked coldly. "Spare me your pity. Looks like the one running out of steam is you."

"Even alone, either one of us is more than enough to deal with you."

"We'll see about that!" Omega's eyes flared blood-red.

"Dragon Balls—come to me!"

The orbs shot through the air one by one, flying straight into his body. Even the Dragon Ball Pan was holding ripped itself free, rushing toward him.

Omega was trying to power up again by absorbing all seven balls.

But—

Goku snatched the Four-Star Ball out of the air before it could reach him. "Not this one! This ball was Grandpa's keepsake. I'll never let you have it."

The absorbed Dragon Balls pulsed visibly in Omega's chest as his power surged. He lunged forward with blinding speed, slamming his fist into Goku's stomach.

The Four-Star Ball slipped from Goku's hand, tumbling skyward.

"Come to me, my Four-Star Ball!" Omega's eyes flashed red again, pulling it toward him.

"With all seven together, I'll unleash a single blast that'll wipe you out for good."

But Goku struck back in an instant, his fist blasting the Four-Star Ball away from Omega's aura and back into his grasp.

"That was close." Goku tightened his grip. "I told you, I'll never let you take this one."

"You've already swallowed five Dragon Balls, huh?" His eyes narrowed. "Fine then—guess I'll just eat this one too!"

Before Vegeta could stop him, Goku shoved the Four-Star Ball into his mouth and swallowed it whole.

"IDIOT!" Vegeta shouted, horrified.

The ball was huge, but somehow Goku forced it down through sheer stubborn will.

"Kakarot, you've completely lost your mind!"

Omega dropped back to the ground, glaring. "So, you think you can seal away my power by swallowing that orb? Pathetic. It won't change the outcome—you can't beat me."

"Don't kid yourself," Vegeta barked. "Kakarot never thinks that far ahead!"

Without another word, he charged straight at Omega. Goku followed, and the three of them clashed midair.

The sky shook as they exchanged blows faster than the eye could follow. Shockwaves rippled outward, tearing across the battlefield.

After dozens of furious strikes, Omega's raw strength proved overwhelming. Both Saiyans were knocked back, crashing into the dirt.

"As long as you two can't fuse, you're nothing to fear," Omega mocked.

But then he froze. Something's wrong…

He hurled a barrage of energy blasts at their crater, explosions lighting up the sky in a storm of fire.

"Come out already! I know that didn't kill you."

A golden glow engulfed the ground. The battlefield erupted in another massive explosion, the blast waves rattling the entire city.

Then—two golden auras pierced the smoke, spiraling upward. Goku and Vegeta emerged, battered but defiant.

Omega chuckled. "For a second there, I thought you'd fused again. You actually scared me!"

The three warriors collided once more, exchanging savage punches and kicks at lightning speed. Every strike ripped the air apart.

"DIE!" Vegeta roared, channeling his rage into a brutal kick that launched Omega through a high-rise. The building collapsed in a thunderous crash, clouds of dust billowing into the sky.

But Omega shot back out, unharmed.

"Tch. Persistent bastard," Vegeta muttered, firing blast after blast of golden energy. None of them slowed Omega down. He barreled through and hammered Vegeta with a brutal combo, sending him flying.

"Vegeta!" Goku rocketed forward, headbutting Omega with everything he had. The dragon reeled, skidding backward.

"Oh, I see…" Omega steadied himself, eyes narrowing. "That wasn't ki. You actually tried brute force."

"You think energy attacks are all we've got?" Goku shot back.

Omega grinned darkly. "Doesn't matter what you try. Even together, your power means nothing to me."

With that, he darted toward Goku again.

Elsewhere—One Piece World

Flower Sword Brook chuckled. "So, even the Dragon Ball world's got a big-hearted fool like Son Goku, eh? What a shame we can't share a drink with him."

Marco scowled. "Next ranking's gotta be us, the Whitebeard Pirates! We've been through more adventures than anyone."

Whitebeard let out a booming laugh. "Don't sweat it, sons. First things first—let's have a party!"

Fairy Tail World

Natsu was practically bouncing. "No way! Dragons in the Dragon Ball world are so tiny! Totally different from the ones here."

In his mind, he was already comparing them to Igneel and the other dragons he knew.

"And that Son Goku guy—he doesn't even know Dragon Slayer Magic, yet he can take down dragons? That's insane! I'm fired up!"

Gray appeared shirtless as usual, scoffing. "Dragon Slayer Magic's nothing special. Ice-Make Magic's way stronger."

"What'd you say?!"

Their eyes locked, sparks practically flying as the rivalry flared up again.

Back to the Screen

The battle raged on. Goku and Vegeta had fought Omega through over a hundred exchanges, but they were clearly on the losing side.

Suddenly, Omega's fist slammed into Goku's chest, knocking him back.

"Damn it—nothing's working!" Goku growled. "Vegeta, we need to fuse, now!"

Vegeta grimaced. "That bastard pisses me off just looking at him. Fine. But this is the last time."

They spread their arms, preparing the fusion dance.

"I told you—you won't get a second chance!" Omega lunged, striking them both before they could finish. They were hurled into the ruins of a collapsed building.

Goku staggered out, only to be sent flying again by another of Omega's lightning-fast punches.

"Don't get cocky!" Vegeta roared, unleashing a barrage of golden blasts. But Omega ignored them completely, smashing a fist into his face and sending him crashing back into the rubble.

Omega's overwhelming strength toyed with the two Saiyans like they were nothing.

"You're strong, no doubt," Goku admitted, panting. "Guess fusing as Super Saiyan 4 made us too excited—we played around when we should've ended it. That was our best shot to beat you… and we blew it."

Omega leveled a finger at him, golden energy condensing at the tip. "Then die with that regret. Go to hell."

A sudden boulder struck Omega in the head. He whipped around.

Vegeta staggered out of the debris, battered but unyielding. "Even if we can't fuse, we'll find another way to take you down. Don't get ahead of yourself."

"..."
