Somehow, Kai had won the affection of all the elderly customers and neighbours, each of them competing to fatten him up. They brought cookies, casserole, cake, and pies every time they dropped by. At school, Kai was doing surprisingly well. He hadn't gotten into a single fight and finally made a group of friends.
