It's Saturday, Adrian's birthday.
The sky was still dark when Felix slipped out from under Adrian's arm. He traced the outline of Adrian's face with his finger and stopped when Adrian scrunched his nose. Smiling softly, he padded into the bathroom.
When he stepped back out, Adrian was still sleeping, tightly hugging the pillow Felix had used. Felix leaned over and pressed a kiss to his forehead before walking out of the room and shutting the door quietly.
The lights in Alex's bakery were on. Through the window, Felix could see Alex already working, sleeves rolled up.
Felix stepped up and pushed the door open. "Hello."
"Good morning," Alex mumbled, setting a tray of cupcakes on the counter. "You're here earlier than I expected."
"Well, I don't want to affect your business," Felix replied, walking to stand behind the counter.
"Here," Alex said, handing him an apron. "Why do you suddenly want to learn how to bake?"
