An innocent baby was crying under the heavy rain, but when a woman heard the desperate cries, she rushed to the rescue and managed to find the child.
Yet something was off about the baby. It suddenly stopped crying — which was strange, since babies never stop crying for long. Then, without warning… the baby vanished.
The woman, confused and frightened, began to search everywhere, calling out desperately, but there was no sign of it — until she heard a strange noise behind her. Terrified, she slowly turned around… and saw the baby again — now transformed into a being made entirely of black smoke. It reached out, and with one swift motion, slit her throat as if its hands were razor-sharp blades.
—What a shame, hahaha. These meat sacks walking on two legs are sooo fraaagileee…
The shadow creature vanished, while the woman's body melted away like clay burning under intense heat.

Blood poured down on the ground like a violent storm. The demon looked around, feeling even more enraged — it had once been enslaved by the very same scientist, who was now dead… yet even in death, the demon wasn't truly free.
Then it noticed a capsule nearby. Inside was a small human. The demon moved closer, studying the figure, but what caught its eye most was a ring hanging from a chain around the human's neck. Tempted, it forced the capsule open to take it.
But the moment it touched the ring, a blinding light threw it backward. That light… was angelic. Realizing the ring wasn't ordinary, the demon looked around and spotted a dead soldier on the floor. An idea struck. Dragging the corpse into a star-shaped circle, it began a ritual — returning the soldier's soul to its body in an instant.
—Ughh... what... what happened? Where am I? How am I alive?!
—Shhhh. Quiet, idiot. You're too loud — it's annoying.
—You! You damned demon! I'll kill you—ahhh! —(He grabs her by the leg and lifts her upside down)— Let me go!
—Just shut up for a second, okay? Promise me you won't do anything stupid.
—Fine, fine! I'll calm down!
Once she stopped yelling, the demon injected her with demon blood, restoring her missing parts. But she couldn't understand why he helped her. The demon didn't waste time — he told her to grab the ring from the frozen human. Confused, she reached for it, but just like before, she was thrown across the room. Her helmet cracked open — revealing that the "sergeant" was actually a woman.
—Pfff, hahaha! You're kidding, right? Hahaha!
—What's so funny?!
—You're a woman! And a soldier on top of that! Hahaha! Never seen that before!
—Yeah, yeah, laugh all you want. Screw you!
Fed up, she told him she had to hide her identity to join the army. The demon asked why bother — wouldn't it be easier to just stay home? She explained she did it to earn money to help her sick father. The demon didn't understand; to him, if the man was sick, he should simply die — that's the natural cycle of life.
Still, the demon realized how emotional humans were. Ignoring it, he stared at the ring, saying no one seemed able to touch it. The sergeant replied that it was probably because only the one in the capsule — the bearer — could use it. The demon asked who the boy was, but she didn't know.
Something about the boy felt strange. Knowing it couldn't touch the ring, the demon came up with an idea — it transformed into a human woman. The sergeant was shocked, but the demon explained it wasn't the first time; it had been observing humankind for hundreds of years without being noticed.
Lifting the sergeant onto her back, the demon powered up the capsule, setting the coordinates for launch. As the demon grinned with excitement, the sergeant screamed in pure terror, starting the countdown. The pod blasted off into the sky — the two of them leaving the island, off to… new and "exciting" adventures.
Elsewhere, a few birds drank from a small river — until one of them was suddenly shot. In the distance, two hunters wearing gas masks celebrated.
They examined the bird and, after confirming it wasn't infected, cheered happily — at last, a clean kill. They'd shot many birds before, but all had been infected. Joyful, they returned home — to a place that looked like a fairytale castle, yet was a dazzling futuristic city.
And atop the tallest tower, a lone figure raised a glass, gazing down at everything with a wicked smile…
