"What is wrong?" Eva asked worried, Jayne sighed and took the scarf of Eva's neck, turning her to face the mirror "the next time you want to have a good time, consider make-up to cover your tracks" Jayne said bringing out a Makeup kit from her bag.
Eva looked in the box, a little flustered. She's never really put on make up per day and the thought of it made her a bit nervous "I didn't do anything" she said still looking at the mirror
"Are you sure cause that very much looked like a hicky" Jayne said trying to cover the red mark on her neck "done" she said, looking at the mirror like she just won a gold medal Eva touched the spot where the hickey was covered and her face turned bright red. Jayne pulled her out of her head when she noticed Like and scowled.
"What the hell is he doing here?" Jayne asked as she tried to put her things back in her bag
"well… (unfortunately) he is my soon to be step brother; I'm not so sure about that yet and for some reason my mom told him to come with me" Luke then glanced at Jayne, his eyes full of bore, contempt and with no interest and then his gaze went back to his phone. Eva asked, looking at the confused Jayne.
"good" Eva said as she headed towards the door, peeking outside, she saw Luke talking to one of the girls from school before they all left in the same direction.
She went back and grabbed Jayne's hand, pulling her to a table and calling for a waiter and asked for water for now.
Jayne brought out some paperwork from her hand bag and handed it to her, Eva looked at It, it looked almost the same has the one she found in Frederick floor board but the only thing missing was his signature.
"This is another file similar to the one your dad has, but this time if he signed it and she does too, she will get half of his assets with her for a year" Jayne explained and Eva listened attentively.
"Won't he notice that his signature isn't on it" Eva asked, Jayne looked at her and picked up an envelope from her bag and handed it towards her.
"Remember how you need to get this file signed for the new activity you would like to join and how desperately you need one of your parents signature" Jayne said has Eva took the file from her
She thought about it for a while trying to understand what Jayne actually meant, she had no activities she wanted to join and even if she did, why would shhe need her parents signature to confirm?
Seeing Eva struggling to understand what she meant she just sighed and came clean "get your dad to sign it, that way it will be easier for me to get his signature on the new document, I advise we act quickly, we don't know when he will use that file, how long have you been leaving with him?"
Eva thought about it well since her parents divorce and she has already spent two years with him, she didn't notice how long she has been with Fredrick and how he had been saying he'd marry her mother for two years now, in a few months, Eva would be eighteen
"two years" Eva said, has she looked at her face for any expression "this must be something big if he is seriously waiting this long, it would be better if you can get this signed has soon has possible" Jayne said as Eva kept the envelope, tucking it into a safe spot in her bag.
"Enough about me, I want to know you, why do you suddenly want to be my friend?" Eva asked Jayne who looked surprised knowing well that people rarely asked about her thought
"well, has you know I don't have many friends, when you came I thought I could find a friend before those brat took you a way and you looked very stunning considering the fact that you don't smile a lot, I just hope we will be good friends and you wouldn't hurt me"
Eva felt a bit of warmth in her. She wanted to say something but Jayne got a call that interrupted the moment. Jayne , without hesitation, picked up almost immediately
She excused herself and got back a minute later and said she had to leave first and remained her to get those files signed before grabbing her things and walking out the door
Eva got up and headed home, when she got home, she got down to take off her shoes "where is your brother?" her mom question welcomed her
"I don't have a brother here" Eva replied without looking up "where is Luke?" her mom correct with a sigh
"Immediately we got the café he joined his friends and left me there, what could I possibly do about that?" she said, waving her hand dismissively before walking up to her room
She dropped on her bed and looked at her phone at the side, she remembered her bestie, Lisa "It's been a while, hasn't it?" she thought to herself as she picked up her phone and open up their chat to see unread messages for a more than a years now
She switched it back off and looked at the ceiling, her mind raced and she couldn't help but feel wary about Jamie. This Jayne girl, she seems too good to be true , why does she want to be my friennd so desperately?" was there some kind of plan she had in mind and needed me for? ,
Eva head moved back and forth till she got up and decided to take a bath. She got dressed in her night gown and took the envelope, heading out of her room, she moved down she walked down the hall until she was in front of Fredrick's room
Her mom and Fredrick stopped sleeping together after the "poison" (In quote) incident, Eva wasn't exactly sure why. she gently knocked, she didn't get an answer , she knocked again but still no answer.
She wanted to check if anyone was inside then the thought of what happened in Luke's room came flooding back and she hesitated.
She walked up and down wondering what to do. She blushed as she remembered the guy that pinned her to the door in Luke's room. A small, subconscious smile crept up her lips as she touched the hickey
She finally decided to enter. she took a deep breath and turned the door knob treading carefully.
Immediately she raised her head up, the envelope dropped to the ground as she stared in shock "what the-!"
