If this had been asked at the beginning, even a command from Principal Yaga would have been deemed beneath them, the second-year students, to gang up on a single freshman.
However, after watching Seiya's fight with Panda, Maki and Inumaki no longer felt that way. Although he was just a freshman, his strength was undoubtedly equal to, if not greater than, their own.
Seiya and Itadori were ordinary high school students before their recent awakening, but now that they possessed Cursed Energy and had enrolled in Jujutsu High, their identity was that of Sorcerers. The "entrance exam" set by Yaga was also an assessment to determine their Sorcerer Grade.
Based on his performance, Yaga estimated Itadori's current strength to be at the Grade 3 Sorcerer level (assuming Sukuna did not emerge).
As for Seiya, based on Gojo Satoru's initial description, Yaga also believed he was at the Grade 3 level. Don't be fooled—Grade 3 is considered genius-level for a self-awakened Sorcerer not from a Sorcerer Family. After all, Itadori, the vessel of Sukuna with a uniquely strong constitution, was currently at the same level. Fushiguro earned a Grade 2 rating upon enrollment because he was adopted by Gojo early and learned the Zenin Clan's Ten Shadows Technique.
But Seiya was different; he was a "late starter" who had grown up wildly, with neither Itadori's unique physical state nor Fushiguro's early training from a master. For him to achieve a Grade 3 rating upon enrollment was already considered high by Yaga.
However, once Panda, who was rated as Semi-Grade 1 and whose true strength was close to a Grade 1 Sorcerer, was easily suppressed by Seiya, Yaga realized he had underestimated the boy. If even that monster Gojo Satoru speaks highly of a Sorcerer's talent, can they possibly be an ordinary genius? Gojo himself was a monster, and any "genius" he esteemed carried significantly more weight than one judged by ordinary standards.
Just as Maki retrieved her Special Grade Cursed Tool, Playful Cloud (a three-section staff), and Inumaki lowered the zipper on his collar to reveal the Cursed markings around his mouth, Fushiguro suddenly stepped forward and requested, "Principal Yaga, Gojo-sensei, may I also join Maki-senpai and the others in the fight?"
Yaga was taken aback by Fushiguro's request. He had just been thinking that letting Seiya fight Panda and the two second-years was perhaps going too far. Maki, lacking Cursed Energy and a Cursed Technique, was officially rated as a Grade 4 Sorcerer upon entry. However, Yaga knew she could easily exorcise Grade 2 Curses. Inumaki was a certified Semi-Grade 1 Sorcerer. Even without Yuta Okkotsu, the three of them together were a match for a Special Grade Curse. Asking Seiya, a freshman, to take on three of them was indeed excessive.
Yaga was contemplating making it a first-year vs. second-year team match, with Fushiguro joining Seiya and Itadori, but Fushiguro's next words stunned both Yaga and the second-years.
"No, when I said 'join the fight,' I meant joining Maki-senpai and the others against Seiya, not joining Seiya's side. Of course, I don't mean to disrespect Maki-senpai or Inumaki-senpai, but I have witnessed Seiya's strength and I clearly know that even with me, we may not have an absolute victory."
"You probably don't know yet, but Seiya's specialty isn't just his ancient martial arts. Besides his remarkable martial skill and physical ability, he can also simultaneously command multiple extremely powerful Shikigami." Fushiguro continued, "In other words, the Seiya you saw just now was not using his true strength, and he probably hasn't even gotten serious yet."
Fushiguro's revelation completely dumbfounded Yaga and the second-years. After hearing this, Yaga even shot a questioning glance at the observing Gojo Satoru, who seemed to be enjoying the drama.
"That's correct," Gojo confirmed. "In addition to his ancient martial arts technique, Seiya does possess a powerful Shikigami inheritance. I suspect his Shikigami technique is a type of Innate Technique. This is why Megumi and I both believe Seiya has the bloodline of a Sorcerer Family."
An Innate Technique is a power a Sorcerer is born with, which generally cannot be acquired later in life. These techniques are usually inherited, often passed down through ancient Sorcerer Families. Shikigami techniques are rare to begin with, and such a strong inheritance is highly unusual. Since Seiya never received any training but could summon Shikigami, it only meant that the technique was an inherited Innate Technique. One of his parents' families must have been an ancient Sorcerer Family capable of commanding Shikigami.
Gojo's words directly verified Fushiguro's claim. Consequently, the looks Yaga and the second-years cast toward Seiya became distinctly complex. Such incredible physical ability and superb martial arts, coupled with the talent of a powerful Shikigami Sorcerer? This kid might be another Yuta Okkotsu.
"How about it, Principal Yaga? I found such excellent prospects for our Tokyo Jujutsu High; shouldn't there be a bonus or something? I don't need much; I heard the specialty products in Kyoto..."
"We'll discuss that later! The priority now is Wenren Seiya's Sorcerer Grade evaluation. Since he possesses the strength you describe, then Maki, all of you should go at him." Yaga interrupted Gojo's unfinished sentence with a stern look, agreeing to Fushiguro's request.
Seeing the situation escalate from a one-on-three to a one-on-four, Seiya wasn't intimidated. Instead, he felt a surge of excitement!
Truthfully, ever since he gained the power shared by his alternate-world self, Seiya hadn't had a proper chance to unleash his full capabilities in this world. His opponents were either Ryomen Sukuna or Gojo Satoru—such monstrous foes meant that even if he brought out his full power, he would likely have been instantly subdued.
