Chapter 131 - Chapter 131 Miniature Magic Array

The magisters, still shaken by Leylin's overwhelming display of power, gathered their thoughts amidst the chaos. Leylin and Belo'vir, undeterred by the destruction, pressed on together, their focus unwavering as they sought a solution to the corrupting fel energy.

Meanwhile, Nallorath, having quickly recovered from his shock, moved swiftly through the debris towards Rommath. His eyes burned with a mixture of concern and determination as he approached the magister.

Nallorath's voice was firm and unyielding as he addressed Rommath, bypassing Dar'Khan's earlier objections. "Rommath, is this truly the mage you had high expectations for? Faced with such accusations, his first instinct is to blame Belo'vir? Your student should learn from this human mage who has only studied magic for seven months. He's far inferior in both magical knowledge and problem-solving!"

Rommath's gaze hardened, and he sharply commanded, "Dar'Khan, get out!" His voice echoed with authority, cutting through the tension like a blade. The magister's face was a mixture of awe and frustration, still reeling from the immense pressure Leylin's power had exerted.

Dar'Khan as if pardoned, he scrambled out of the magic temple. Slowly, Rommath's sternness softened as he took a deep breath, trying to calm his nerves. The weight of the situation pressed heavily upon him.

"Rommath, he's displaying too much negativity; didn't you notice?" Nallorath softly asked Rommath.

Rommath nodded and said, "That's right. But he's very similar to me; I see my childhood self in him. You know that best."

Nallorath shook his head: "It's different. I see in you, your loyalty to Quel'Thalas, even though I am quite old and was a member of the Council at some point. Your loyalty to the Royal Court transcends the feelings between your mentor, Belo'vir and you as his student, which is the main reason you, Rommath, are now the leading magister of the Silvermoon Council. Dar'Khan is different; I don't sense a trace of loyalty to the kingdom from him. He's only loyal to himself."

"I understand. I will go and have a good talk with him." Rommath could only reply. As Dar'Khan's colleague, he didn't want to completely reject his friend; Dar'Khan had performed exceptionally well in his work within the Silvermoon Council.

Nallorath also understood his current position; like Belo'vir, he only had seniority but no real power in the current Quel'Thalas.

"The future hope of the kingdom rests on your shoulders, Rommath. I've been discussing this with you since the moment you became the leading magister of the Silvermoon Council." Nallorath said earnestly. Rommath nodded.

Though Rommath and Belo'vir had different political views, he knew that the two magisters loved this kingdom even more than he did; their difference in loyalty is between the kingdom and the royal court.

The issue of the orcish tribe's destruction of the energy theory was temporarily set aside. At this moment, the three magisters and Leylin were simultaneously discussing how to restrict the Sunwell's energy network from continuing to supply energy to the Ghostlands.

The orcs had already occupied the location of the runestones; they couldn't afford to destroy them to prevent orc warlocks from accessing the Sunwell's energy.

"Now, the only effective method is to block the energy hub above the Sunwell Plateau, cutting off the energy transport here. Then the eastern part of the Ghostlands will no longer receive energy from the Sunwell." Rommath said, looking at the energy network floating above the magic circle, his left hand pointing to the energy convergence point above the coordinates of the Sunwell Plateau.

This was clearly impossible. Belo'vir and Nallorath knew that the energy network spanning the kingdom of Quel'Thalas was a massive circular path. This magical energy was transferred through flow; if the energy transport was blocked at a connection point, the consequences would be unimaginable.

The blocked well water would accumulate a large amount of arcane energy, and the Sunwell Plateau would become a ticking time bomb.

Belo'vir did not completely reject Rommath's idea; "This method is indeed feasible, but we need to release the energy of the Sunwell in Tranquillien. Simply releasing magical energy, without the radiance of the network, will allow it to infiltrate our bodies unchecked. We cannot utilize this pure energy; it will lead us astray!"

"In the short term, we cannot establish more runestones in Tranquillien to allow the energy to enter a complete cycle again. If there is truly no other way, we can only allow the orcs of the Horde to use the energy we depend on for survival. Although I don't know what they will do with this magical energy." Nallorath considered anxiously.

Leylin, who had been silent, spoke up; his perception of the Sunwell's energy was something these magisters lacked.

"I can sense that they haven't wasted this magical energy. They've used some strange creature to absorb the magical energy leaking from the runestones." Leylin said.

Nallorath and Rommath exchanged glances, questioning Leylin's words. Belo'vir, however, chose to completely trust Leylin. Belo'vir, always cautious, confirmed Leylin's statement. The other two magisters also chose to believe in Leylin.

"I have a suggestion," Leylin said after pondering for ten minutes.

"Please speak," Rommath looked up at Leylin. Rommath's respect for Leylin was now evident, a silent acknowledgment that this human mage.

"Using miniature magic arrays, we can infiltrate the energy network transporting energy eastward from Tranquillien. That way, no matter what the orc tribes use our energy for, their creations will be restricted by us." Leylin recalled when his mentor, Belo'vir, taught him how to make enchanted arrows; the arrowheads had miniature magic arrays, and their explosions could produce considerable power.

Belo'vir quickly understood Leylin's idea. Meanwhile, while Nallorath and Rommath agreed with Leylin's idea, they were faced with another question.

"Student, are you hiding something from me? It's impossible for elven mages to directly control the energy of the Sunwell." Nallorath asked. Belo'vir nodded, indicating there was no need to hide anything further. The magisters present here were sufficiently loyal to the elven kingdom.

"Other mages can't do it, but Teacher, I can!" Leylin said frankly. His azure eyes gleamed, and Nallorath smiled. This wasn't a bad thing; it had helped him greatly.

To prove himself, Leylin quietly began drawing energy into his hands from the energy link above Tranquillien. The golden light of the Sunwell poured into Leylin's palms like pure water. Pure, flawless, and radiant with golden light, it made the entire temple even brighter.

"Unbelievable! You actually have such an ability!" Rommath couldn't believe his eyes. This human mage's magical properties exceeded his understanding. With such abilities, this human mage surpassed all the magisters in Silvermoon City.

No wonder he could give such strong pressure, this might be the reason why he improved faster. Leylin knew nothing about Rommath's thoughts, but if he knew he'd probably laugh it off.

"If that's true, I believe you can use the energy of the Sunwell to defeat the Horde," Rommath said matter-of-factly.

"This is merely a characteristic of magic. The energy of the Sunwell is not something I can control. As you know, the stronger the energy, the more likely it is to cause the wielder to lose itself," Leylin replied.

Indeed, Nallorath and Belo'vir nodded. Having proposed a new mission plan, Rommath began learning the creation of miniature magic circles from the two magisters—knowledge he hadn't learned during his student days.

The magical theory behind these miniature magic circles came from *Molecular Magic*, a magical topic previously researched by the Silvermoon Council. It was precisely for this reason that, among all the magisters in Silvermoon City, only Nallorath and Belo'vir could master it.

The creation of the miniature magic circles was rapid; the completed circles were neatly placed into the energy of the Sunwell floating within the temple. Having completed this task, Leylin's mission was to once again integrate the unique energies embedded within into the energy flow being channeled eastward.

This mission was planned very successfully; throughout the night, numerous miniature magical arrays entered the runestones of the Underdark.

Of course, the work on these miniature magical arrays was not yet finished. Guided by orc warlocks, they entered various storm altars.
