Chapter 359 - Chapter 359: The Observer's Judgment

The urgency did not arrive with a scream; it arrived with the terrifying, synchronized stillness of four Titan-forged Keepers speaking in unison.

"Algalon's diagnostic cycle is nearing completion," Freya warned, her voice carrying the tremulous weight of a life-god sensing the impending extinction of her garden. "The threshold is not determined by an arbitrary clock. It is dictated by the progress of his planetary audit."

"Once the audit locks, Reply Code Alpha fires automatically," Thorim added, the storm clouds around his shoulders darkening to a bruised, violent purple. "The Observer does not request confirmation. The protocol contains no grace period between calculation and execution."

"How close is he?" Leylin demanded, his spatial network reaching upward toward the upper sanctuaries.

The four Keepers exchanged a rapid, silent pulse of data through their shared neural link.

"Hours," Mimiron reported, his whirring lenses narrowing in grave calculation. "Perhaps less. The diagnostic subroutines are already cross-referencing the structural corruption of the outer vaults."

"The Forge of Origination in the south..." Hodir rumbled, his icy breath frosting the stone floor. "If the signal reaches the Pantheon, the Forge will activate. Every living cell in Azeroth will be disassembled into fundamental arcana."

"A total planetary reset," Harbinger Vurenn confirmed softly, his blue eyes gleaming with grim familiarity. "No survivors. No exceptions."

Leylin didn't hesitate for a single microsecond. Every tactical plan he had laid out twenty minutes prior dissolved under the weight of this new reality.

"Algalon first," Leylin commanded, his voice cutting through the rising panic like a steel blade. "We stop the executioner before we march on the prisoner."

The Celestial Planetarium sat at the highest peak of Ulduar's upper structure, accessible only via a dedicated, gilded teleporter pad in the ceiling of the Observation Ring.

Brann stepped onto the platform, holding the Celestial Planetarium Key high. The star-shaped artifact flared with brilliant, cosmic energy, resonating with the ancient Titan lock mechanism above.

A blinding shaft of starlight enveloped the strike force, and in the space of a heartbeat, they vanished from the Observation Ring.

They materialized inside a room that defied the laws of mortal architecture.

The Celestial Planetarium had no stone walls, no ceiling, and no floor in the conventional sense. The raid stood upon a translucent, glass-like platform that hovered in the middle of a vast, infinite cosmos. Above, below, and all around them, galaxies spun in silent majesty, nebula clouds glowed in hues of violet and gold, and millions of distant stars burned against the dark expanse of space.

And at the center of this cosmic void stood Algalon the Observer.

The Constellar was a terrifying, beautiful entity composed entirely of living starlight and celestial energy. He loomed high above the platform, his form shifting like a constellation brought to life. His face was a featureless mask of burning white light, and his eyes carried the cold, mathematical indifference of an entity that had watched ten thousand worlds burn and be reborn.

As the strike force stepped onto the celestial platform, Algalon turned his glowing gaze upon them.

"Travelers from below," Algalon's voice echoed—not through the air, but directly inside their minds, ringing with the terrifying resonance of a cosmic authority. "You cross the threshold of the Celestial Planetarium to interrupt an automated diagnostic cycle. Your efforts are mathematically futile."

"We are here to stop the transmission," Leylin stated, stepping to the front of the line, his dark robes whipping in the spatial winds.

"The audit is complete," Algalon replied, his tone entirely devoid of malice or anger, carrying only the absolute, unyielding weight of cold logic. "The contamination level of this planet exceeds acceptable parameters by 84.7%. The corruption of the Prime Designate and the subversion of the Keeper hierarchy confirm systemic failure. Reorigination is the only mathematically sound outcome. Prepare for Code Omega."

"We aren't asking for a recalculation," Leylin said, his hands igniting with black-and-crimson thermal flame. "We are forcing one."

"A physical demonstration of mortal will?" Algalon observed, his celestial hands weaving complex orbital patterns in the void. "Fascinating. The protocol permits the inclusion of physical stress-testing metrics. Let us begin."

The battle for the world-soul began without a single battle cry.

Algalon raised his hand, and a massive, crimson-glowing meteor—a Cosmic Smash—detached from a distant galaxy in the background, plunging directly toward the left side of the platform with apocalyptic speed.

"Impact zone left! Move!" Leylin bellowed, tracking the trajectory through his spatial network.

The raid scattered across the translucent floor just as the meteor slammed into the platform. A shockwave of pure cosmic fire tore through the air, leaving behind a swirling, unstable singularity in the floor—a Black Hole.

Simultaneously, Algalon lunged forward, his starlight gauntlets striking Vindicator Yaala with terrifying speed.

Phase Punch.

With every blow, a stacking spatial debuff accumulated over Yaala's armor, threatening to rip her out of reality entirely.

"Four stacks! Swapping!" Yaala called out, her voice strained as her form began to flicker like a fading hologram.

Muradin stepped into the line, slamming his hammer against Algalon's leg to pull the Observer's attention away before Yaala could be banished to the void.

High above, four Collapsing Stars spawned in the cardinal corners of the arena, their health rapidly deteriorating as they prepared to detonate in a chain reaction of raid-wiping Shadow damage.

"Ranged DPS! Target the stars one by one!" Leylin ordered. "Do not let them detonate simultaneously! Controlled kills only!"

Alleria and Sylvanas turned their bows upward, carefully picking off the Collapsing Stars at controlled intervals, giving Lady Liadrin and the healing corps precise, three-second windows to stabilize the raid's health between the massive Black Hole Explosions.

Then, the atmosphere in the Planetarium turned deathly still.

Algalon floated into the air, his starlight form swelling until it swallowed the surrounding constellations.

"Behold the majesty of the cosmos!" Algalon proclaimed, his voice echoing across the galaxy.

Big Bang.

The channel built with terrifying speed—a 100,000-damage cosmic wave that would vaporize every living soul in the room.

"Into the Black Holes! Now!" Leylin shouted.

The entire strike force, save for Muradin, who activated his iron-hard Avatar form to anchor the physical realm, lunged toward the active Black Hole portals scattered across the floor.

Leylin leaped into a swirling spatial singularity. The world inverted. For three agonizing seconds, he floated in a cold, starless, dark dimension, watching the blinding, white-hot explosion of the Big Bang detonate harmlessly in the physical realm above them.

The moment the shockwave passed, the raid phased back out of the Black Holes, tumbling back onto the platform, their weapons drawn and spells primed.

"Phase two is clear! Keep the pressure!" Leylin yelled, unleashing a devastating, superheated lance of fire straight into Algalon's core.

For four brutal minutes, the dance repeated with razor-thin precision. They managed tank swaps, dodged falling meteors, controlled star detonations, and ducked into the void to survive three consecutive Big Bangs.

At the 20% health threshold, the cosmic arena transformed.

The Collapsing Stars vanished, and four permanent, gaping Black Holes opened at the corners of the platform. From the void, swarms of Unleashed Dark Matter began pouring out, surging toward the caster lines.

"Ignore the adds!" Leylin commanded, his voice ringing over the chaos. "Stack on the boss! Burn him to the floor!"

"Heroism!" Thrall roared, slamming Doomhammer onto the glass floor.

A surging wave of blood-fury swept through the ranks. Rhonin and Jaina unleashed an endless storm of arcane missiles, Alleria fired a volley of enchanted incendiary arrows, and Leylin poured every remaining spark of his thermal and spatial bending into a single, blinding beam of destruction.

Algalon's starlight form buckled. The celestial energy weaving his body together cracked, fragmenting into brilliant showers of white sparks.

At 2% health, the Constellar dropped to his knees.

The violent cosmic storms instantly ceased. The Dark Matter dissolved into harmless stardust, and the spinning galaxies overhead slowed to a peaceful, silent drift.

Silence fell over the Celestial Planetarium.

Algalon rested his glowing hands on the glass floor, staring down at his hands in profound, uncomprehending shock.

"I have seen worlds bathed in the Maker's flames," Algalon rumbled softly, his voice no longer a cold, automated prompt, but the quiet, awestruck voice of an entity seeing a miracle for the first time. "Their inhabitants are fading without so much as a whimper. Entire planetary systems wiped clean to preserve cosmic order... My calculations were absolute. My equations were flawless."

He lifted his head, staring at the bloodied, exhausted, yet triumphant mortals standing before him.

"Yet... your willpower defies logic. You fought not with the cold efficiency of machines, but with the chaotic, desperate, glorious fire of living beings who refuse to go quietly into the night."

Algalon slowly stood, raising his starlight hand toward the heavens.

"I will not transmit Signal Alpha," Algalon declared, his voice echoing across the stars. "I will overwrite the diagnostic data with a new code. Reply Code Alpha: Abort. Azeroth shall endure."

A blinding beam of pure, golden starlight shot from Algalon's palm, piercing through the roof of the Planetarium and soaring up into the deep cosmos, bearing the message of mortal victory to the Titans.

Algalon turned his gaze back to Leylin, offering a quiet, respectful bow. "Go, Champions of Azeroth. Save your world from the beast beneath."

An hour later, the strike force returned to the Observation Ring.

The atmosphere in the grand stone hall had transformed. The terror of global annihilation had been lifted, replaced by a fierce, quiet resolve.

Vurenn finished his final diagnostic sweep, stepping back to face the assembled army. "Clean. The celestial alignment is severed, and Algalon's stay of execution is absolute. The world above is safe."

"And now," Leylin said, stepping into the center of the ring, his eyes fixed on the massive, rune-sealed trapdoor in the center of the floor, "we finish why we came."

The four restored Keepers—Freya, Hodir, Thorim, and Mimiron—stepped forward, taking their positions around the central seal.

"The prison locks are ready to be undone," Thorim rumbled, his warhammer crackling with lightning. "Our combined power will strip away Yogg-Saron's personal shield, exposing its core to your weapons."

"We stand at your back, mortal," Freya added softly.

Brann Bronzebeard stood near the edge of the seal, his leather pack buckled tight, his brass goggles pulled down over his eyes. Beside him, Muradin gave his younger brother a firm, rough clap on the shoulder.

"No more archaeological research, Brann," Muradin growled affectionately. "Just good old-fashioned god-slaying."

"Aye," Brann replied, a fierce, dwarven grin spreading across his face. "Let's go teach an Old God some manners."

Leylin raised his gauntleted hand.

The spatial network in his mind expanded, mapping the dark, abyss-like descent leading straight into the dark heart of Ulduar. He could feel the ancient, greasy presence of Yogg-Saron churning in the depths—a thousand eyes watching, a thousand mouths whispering, waiting for their arrival.

"Keepers, break the seal," Leylin commanded, his voice cold, steady, and absolute. "Strike force... we go down."

The four demigods raised their weapons, channeling four beams of pure, uncorrupted elemental power directly into the central vault.

With a sound like a shattering world, the ancient Titan locks gave way, and the path to the abyssal heart of Ulduar swung wide open.
