Three months after the Honkai Eruption.
The city was in flames.
Buildings burned beneath a darkened sky as explosions echoed through the streets. Honkai Beasts rampaged through the ruined district, tearing apart everything in their path.
Civilians fled in terror.
One of the Honkai Beasts raised its lance toward a woman desperately shielding her child with her own body.
Lady: "Help!"
Not far away, hidden behind the ruins of a collapsed building, stood a familiar white-haired girl.
Her hair was tied into two large braids.
She wore the White Comet battlesuit—a white bodysuit decorated with splashes of orange and black. Three mechanisms were mounted on her back, each glowing whenever the suit was activated. Two large star-shaped markings decorated the sides of her legs.
Over her battlesuit, she wore a white jacket with orange sleeves.
Around her neck hung an orange-red crystal necklace.
It was the last gift she had received from someone dear to her.
This was Kiana Kaslana.
Kiana watched helplessly from behind the ruins.
Her hands trembled.
She wanted to move.
She wanted to help.
But then—
A familiar voice echoed inside her mind.
???: "Don't touch any Honkai energy again, Kiana."
???: "Leave them. There's nothing you can do."
Kiana: "Nothing?"
Kiana: "No! I must…"
The Honkai Beast launched its lance.
Kiana moved.
She grabbed a metal bat lying among the rubble and rushed forward.
CLANG!
The lance crashed against the bat.
Kiana barely managed to block the attack.
Kiana: "Run! Get away from here. I'll handle this."
The woman immediately grabbed her child and ran.
Kiana turned toward the Honkai Beast.
She swung her metal bat.
The creature retaliated.
Kiana activated her battlesuit.
Three mechanisms on her back began glowing.
A massive holographic cat paw materialized above the Honkai Beast.
BOOM!
The giant energy paw slammed down.
The Honkai Beast was crushed beneath the attack.
But more Honkai Beasts quickly appeared.
They charged toward her from every direction.
Kiana tightened her grip on the metal bat and rushed forward.
She fought desperately.
Using her battlesuit's abilities, her ordinary punches and kicks were replaced by rapid, sweeping strikes from enormous energy cat paws.
BAM!
A giant paw sent one Honkai Beast flying.
CRASH!
Another was slammed into the side of a ruined building.
Kiana continued fighting.
But she knew she couldn't continue.
She couldn't use any more Honkai energy.
Not after what had happened.
Not after what she had been warned about.
Kiana glanced behind her.
The civilians had escaped.
They were finally far enough away.
Without hesitation, Kiana turned and fled.
She escaped from the pursuing Honkai Beasts and eventually found herself standing on one of the city's pedestrian bridges.
Her body was exhausted.
She could barely catch her breath.
Kiana: "I can only flee…"
Then—
Sirin: "Why run away, Kiana?"
Kiana froze.
Sirin: "They're the prey."
Sirin: "You're the predator."
Kiana: "Hngh…"
Kiana clutched her head.
Suddenly—
A horde of Honkai Beasts emerged from the ruined streets.
They surrounded her.
There was nowhere left to run.
Kiana: "No… I can't die here…"
The orange-red crystal necklace around her neck suddenly began to glow.
A brilliant, flaming light radiated from the crystal.
The power within it began to awaken.
However—
Before the crystal necklace could do anything—
Kiana's bright sea-blue eyes suddenly changed.
They turned yellow.
Sirin had taken control of her body once again.
Sirin: "Hahahahahah!"
Sirin slowly raised her head.
Sirin: "This body is now mine!"
The Honkai Beasts hesitated.
Then, from somewhere nearby—
A voice suddenly called out.
???: "Kiana!"
