Chapter 188: Emergency Situation!
Sternritter?
Hearing this term, Satoru couldn't help but freeze.
Although before his transmigration, he had only seen the beginning of the Thousand-Year Blood War, he still knew about the organization called the Sternritter.
Wasn't that the name of the Quincy faction in the Thousand-Year Blood War?
Aizen hadn't even become a captain yet, and Ichigo Kurosaki hadn't even been born, so why were the Sternritter already in the Seireitei?
Having transmigrated for so long, he had never paid attention to matters related to the Thousand-Year Blood War.
In his view, the Thousand-Year Blood War was at least another century or two away. Rather than wasting time worrying, it was better to train more and increase his strength.
But in the blink of an eye, the enemy was already right before him!
An intense chill, like a clinging curse, crept up his spine and gripped his neck.
Although he hadn't seen it himself, from the images shared in various groups and the information online, he knew one thing very clearly.
Yamamoto Shigekuni died in the Thousand-Year Blood War.
Thinking of the old man's death, Satoru's Reiatsu began to stir restlessly.
Snapping back to reality, he didn't hesitate and immediately shouted:
"Bakudō #63, Sajō Sabaku!"
Whoosh!
Several chains formed from condensed Reiatsu shot out from the void, binding and stretching Bambietta's limbs taut.
Then, he formed hand seals:
"Wall of iron sand, a priestly pagoda, glowing iron, fervently ablaze and ultimately silent..."
"Bakudō #75, Gochūtekkan!"
The moment his words fell, five massive iron pillars materialized out of thin air in the laboratory, crashing down violently onto Bambietta's limbs and head, pinning her firmly in place!
The immense pressure forced a scream from Bambietta.
However, Satoru showed no intention of stopping.
He stared intently at Bambietta and continued loudly:
"Bakudō #62, Hyapporankan!"
Swish, swish, swish, swish!!
Numerous Reiatsu rods solidified in the air and, like the Lance of Longinus piercing Unit-02, descended from all directions, piercing through Bambietta's hands, feet, shoulders, and other parts.
These rods not only created piercing wounds but also formed several Reiatsu disruption points on the girl's body, preventing her from manipulating her Reiatsu.
Amidst her screams, she finally realized something.
These techniques were called Kidō, a type of Hadō.
And the clothes this guy was wearing... that was a Shinigami Uniform!
Both clues confirmed this guy's identity.
The mortal enemies of the Quincy... the Shinigami!
Why was she encountering a Shinigami? Weren't these guys only supposed to exist in textbooks?
She widened her eyes, glaring fiercely at Satoru.
Simultaneously, she desperately tried to activate all her abilities.
Blut Arterie, Blut Vene, and... the Quincy's ultimate technique, Vollständig, which she had only recently mastered!
Yet, under Satoru's Reiatsu and Kidō restraints, none of these abilities proved effective.
Every time she tried to gather even a trace of Reiatsu from the surrounding air, Satoru would interfere, disrupting the Reishi arrangement through various means and rendering her efforts futile.
Compounded by the excruciating pain from the light rods piercing her limbs, she was utterly incapacitated.
Despite being a Sternritter, she now resembled a lamb awaiting slaughter, completely powerless to resist!
Once Satoru confirmed Bambietta was subdued, he roared:
"Kisuke! Mayuri!!"
Within seconds, Kisuke's voice echoed from outside:
"Mr. Satoru?"
"Kisuke, get Mayuri and go find my teacher immediately!"
"Then notify my senior and Captain Hikifune... Tell the Captain-Commander it's an emergency! Prepare for combat!"
Hearing Satoru's shouts through the door, Kisuke's eyes widened.
Though brief, the commands contained implications that made his scalp tingle.
Especially since, even through the special door designed to block Reiatsu, he could faintly sense terrifying fluctuations emanating from the laboratory.
Without hesitation, he nodded sharply. "Understood!"
He turned and sprinted away.
After informing Mayuri to fetch Shunsui and Kirio, Kisuke dashed at full speed toward the First Division barracks.
Along the way, those who spotted him couldn't hide their surprise.
Was that... Fourth Seat Urahara?
How could he move so fast?
This was completely unlike the level of skill he typically displayed.
Soon, another figure raced past, heading in a different direction.
This one was barely recognizable to most.
However, the white lab coat identified them as a member of the Mikami Technical Bureau.
Watching the two figures hurry into the distance, the surrounding Shinigami exchanged bewildered glances.
...
...
Kisuke held nothing back.
He reached the entrance of the First Division barracks at maximum speed.
Two gatekeeping Shinigami raised their hands to stop him:
"State your business!"
Kisuke responded rapidly, "I'm Kisuke Urahara, Fourth Seat of the Second Division. I have urgent matters to report to the Captain-Commander."
The guard frowned.
A Fourth Seat from the Second Division... while not low-ranking, still lacked the authority for direct access to the Captain-Commander.
After a moment's thought, he decided to first consult Vice-Captain Sasakibe.
But before he could speak, Kisuke added, "I was sent by Satoru Mikami, Third Seat Mikami!"
"!!"
Hearing Satoru's name, both guards jolted.
"Identification papers."
One Shinigami extended a hand.
Kisuke hastily produced them.
After verifying his identity, the two guards stepped back in unison.
The crossed iron spears barring the entrance parted to either side.
"Proceed."
Observing their swift change in attitude, Kisuke felt a pang of reflection.
Though his boss was often a troublemaker, his influence certainly opened doors...
Entering the barracks, Kisuke scanned his surroundings.
It was his first time in the First Division compound, and he had no idea where to find Captain-Commander Yamamoto.
Just as he prepared to ask for directions, a voice suddenly resonated in his ear.
[This way.]
Startled by the aged tone, Kisuke promptly bowed his head respectfully and hurried toward the source of the voice.
Sure enough, he soon arrived before a study with its door open.
Inside the room, Yamamoto stood behind the desk, holding a brush and writing something.
Without even lifting his eyelids, the old man said calmly, "Did Satoru send you to find me? What happened?"
Kisuke quickly walked to the study entrance:
"Reporting to Captain-Commander, Mr. Satoru requests that you immediately proceed to the Second Division!"
"Mr. Satoru says it's an emergency and asks you to prepare for combat!"
Upon hearing this, Yamamoto stopped his writing.
He raised his head and looked at Kisuke.
Thinking Yamamoto didn't believe him, Kisuke quickly tried to say more.
But before he could speak, he was shocked to discover that Yamamoto had suddenly vanished from his sight.
Even though he had been staring without looking away for a moment, the other had simply disappeared!
What level of Flash Step was this?
After a brief moment of stunned disbelief, Kisuke prepared to hurry back.
But just as he exited the First Division headquarters, he suddenly thought of something.
After hesitating for two seconds, he changed direction and headed toward the Fifth Division...
