America, Colorado, western region.
On a stretch of crimson, rugged land, a modern complex stood out starkly against the natural scenery.
One could see office buildings, airplane hangars, and runways within this complex.
This complex was nestled between several hills, as if guarded by giants.
Nature's handiwork had created this natural barrier; this was the headquarters of the Blackwater Company.
Blackwater had established an enormous circular perimeter outside these hills.
They had strung high-voltage power grids along this circular line, and set up a sentry post every kilometer, completely sealing off the entire area.
In the top-floor office of the office building, Sike stood before the floor-to-ceiling window, gazing at the distant hills.
He had already put all of Blackwater Company's operations on hold, and all the teams that had completed their missions had been withdrawn at the first opportunity.
As for those teams that had already begun executing missions or had already received mission requests, Sike had also ordered them to remain outside after completing the missions and not to return to headquarters to report their situation.
All of the arrangements he made were to deal with the masked hero called Evil Ghost, and his team.

Upon hearing his words, the person outside pushed the door open and walked in. It was Lando, Sike's subordinate.
During the period when Om had been parachuted into Blackwater, not only had Sike gone from being the top dog to second-in-command, but even Lando, who had originally been second-in-command, had been demoted a level.

"Remember to maintain the high-voltage power grid, and tell those on guard duty to keep their eyes peeled. Sound the alarm immediately if anything happens."
As Sike continued to give instructions, Lando nodded repeatedly.
Just as Sike was finally about to finish giving instructions and picked up his cup to drink water, the phone on his desk suddenly rang.
"Wait a moment, I have something else to say," Sike said to Lando, setting down his cup and picking up the phone.
"Hello," Sike said, speaking in a casual tone.
But as soon as he heard what the person on the other end of the line said, his expression immediately became serious, and he replied loudly, "Yes! Yes! Understood!"
After answering, Sike wanted to say something else, but before he could finish, the other person had already hung up.
Sike listened to the dial tone, feeling a mixture of helplessness and anger.
He took a few deep breaths, then put the phone back on the table.
Lando saw Sike's reaction and couldn't help but wonder what the person on the other end of the phone had said.
But in this atmosphere that had obviously become serious, he naturally couldn't ask any questions.
He just stood there quietly, waiting for Sike to speak first.
Sike hung up the phone and leaned back in his office chair, slowly rubbing his temples with a frown.
After a moment, he finally raised his head and said to Lando in a low voice, "Headquarters is sending someone again."
Sike was clearly a bit annoyed. He lit a cigarette and continued, "An Investigation Team is coming. They're here to investigate the failure of the mission a few days ago."
"And from their tone, it doesn't sound like they're here for good."
"This matter clearly isn't our responsibility. We were just following the special envoy's orders, weren't we?"
Lando was also surprised to hear Sike's words.
He cautiously asked, "Boss, doesn't Headquarters know about our current situation?"
Hearing Lando's words, Sike visibly grew angrier.
He took a drag from the cigarette in his hand, then threw it to the ground with a harsh movement, roaring with a touch of fury.
"M*** F***, those damn Investigation Team members wouldn't listen to a word I said."
"I was only halfway through, and they impatiently hung up the phone."
After finishing his rant, Sike panted heavily, trying to calm the anger within him.
After taking a few deep breaths, he turned to Lando and said, "Those sons of b*****s will be here in an hour. Go ahead and compile the Evil Ghost and his team's information."
"When they arrive, I'll throw the data in their faces, so they can see exactly what's going on."
"Understood," Lando replied immediately upon hearing Sike's order.
He knew Sike was just venting. As for the matter of throwing the data at the investigator's face, he decided to pretend he hadn't heard it.
Lando responded and then looked at Sike's expression, gently comforting him, "The Investigation Team coming is just as well; they can give us some extra strength."
"Moreover, after they learn about the Evil Ghost, they will definitely take it seriously."
"Once headquarters sends someone to deal with the Evil Ghost, we won't have to suspend all our operations like we do now."
Sike breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing Lando's words, then sighed, saying, "Well, I hope so."
After he finished speaking, he waved his hand.
Lando, seeing the gesture, sensibly withdrew from the office, leaving only Sike standing in front of the desk.
Sike walked to the floor-to-ceiling window and looked at the picturesque scenery outside, but his brow remained furrowed.
He had a bad feeling, as if something would happen today.
