"A-about that..." I rose to my feet, leaned closer to Maa's ear, and whispered something, making sure Nymeria and Ume could not hear me. My voice was low, barely a breath.
Maa gave a satisfied nod to my words, causing the girls to look at me curiously, their eyes narrowing with suspicion and intrigue.
Once I moved back, she rose from the sofa, placed both her hands on Ume and Nymeria's head, and said, "Raj is a bit childish. He will cause a lot of trouble for you two."
My brows furrowed, but I remained silent, biting back any protest.
"Still, what I am sure of is that he will go to any length to make sure no harm comes to you. He will never let you down."
"He already treasures us, as you said," Ume murmured, lowering her eyes, a soft blush colouring her cheeks.
"He has already gone to enough lengths to protect us as well," Nymeria added. "As for his childish behaviour..." A faint blush appeared on her face as she revealed, "I do not mind it at all."
