For a few seconds, I did not reply. My brain was trying to process the deduction I had just made, turning it over in my mind like a stone in a stream.
"Our situation is not similar. But it is true that I am not from this world," I revealed with a heavy sigh. "But that comes later. Tell us more about the Doom."
She gave a slight nod before starting her explanation, her posture straightening. "Doom was not strong when it first appeared in Rukadvatta. It could not even materialise in the world. What it had was the power to control the minds of people with weak resolve. Doom used this power to control monsters, since their minds were easy to manipulate, causing the sudden increase in monster attacks."
