"Helcia, I'm sorry for not paying attention to you these past few days." Lando shifted the bouquet slightly so I could see his face clearly. "Will you forgive me?"
Would I forgive him? How could I not forgive him when he did something this romantic?!
"H-Husband, you're so sweet!" I blurted out, then quickly got into the car after taking the bouquet. "You should've told me if you were going to pick me up!"
"Then it wouldn't be a surprise," Lando said with a small smile. "Besides, your assistants always keep me updated, so I didn't have to wait long."
Of course, they would report all of my activities to Lando. He was the one who chose Gigi and Zuri as my assistants, after all.
"If I knew you were going to give me flowers, I would've prepared a gift for you too," I said softly while touching the flowers one by one. The bouquet was made of lavender and baby's breath, the kind of colors that matched my eyes when the light hit them.
