Garion stared at Lord Vornak for a few seconds, then suddenly asked inside his mind, "Atlas."
Atlas answered immediately.
[What?]
Garion's expression became strange. "What about my mission?"
[Your mission?]
"Yeah." Garion raised an eyebrow while still facing Lord Vornak. "Why has it been so long since I got a mission? That World Will bastard just got one, so how come I don't have anything?"
Atlas went silent for a moment.
Garion's eyes narrowed slightly. "Atlas?"
[Wait. Let me check.]
Garion almost turned his head from shock. "Check?"
[Yes. Check.]
"Isn't the mission supposed to appear automatically?" Garion asked.
Atlas became quiet again.
For some reason, that silence felt extremely suspicious.
A moment later, Atlas spoke with a rare hint of shame.
[Sorry.]
Garion's mouth twitched. "Sorry?"
[These days, you have been too busy, and I kind of forgot to check the mission list.]
Garion's face darkened. "Damn you."
