I stepped back out. Jasmine and Kim were waiting.
"Do a three-sixty," Kim said.
I turned slowly in place.
"We need darker pants," Jasmine said, studying me. "And darker boots, I think."
"Hey, whatever you say," I answered. "If it was up to me I'd have just gotten that first jacket and moved on."
My phone rang. Delilah. I held up a finger. The girls nodded and headed off, probably to grab the pants and boots.
I answered. "Hey, Delilah."
"Hey," she said. "Good and bad news. Which one do you wanna hear?"
"Start with the good news, Ms. Komb."
"Ivy and I are good again," she said. "Finally. We forgave each other."
"Alright." I walked back into the empty fitting room and sat down on the little bench. "The bad news?"
"Ivy is going out with her friends tonight. I'll be home alone… all by myself. Bored."
"I'm there at midnight," I said with a smirk. "If you sleep by then, I swear I'll ram through the door."
