After passing through the city gates, Han Yu and the others were stunned by the scene before them. Compared to the broken and desolate exterior, the design inside was surprisingly normal, and the style was completely different.
The sky outside was crimson, but inside, there was a symphony of birdsong and fragrant flowers. It looked just like the human world. Anyone who didn't know better would think they'd traveled back to Earth.
"Mephisto sure knows how to live. The design is pretty good, Eastern European style. Much better than I expected," Han Yu said, nodding repeatedly.
Johnny explained, "This kind of place is only affordable for Hela and Mephisto in Hell. See all the flowers and plants? Hell has no life, but plants are still considered life. It takes a lot of effort to make these plants grow naturally here."
Loki also looked around curiously, saying, "I thought the guys in Hell all lived in those gloomy and terrifying places."
"That's definitely the prejudice most people on Earth have about Hell, thinking it's all terrifying. In fact, the only terrifying places are those execution grounds, like the 'Eighteen Levels of Hell,' and so on. But other places are basically barren. After all, no one would bother with construction when they get to Hell."
Johnny said with a smile. That's also why people are always afraid when Hell is mentioned, because the guys in Hell emphasize "freedom." No one would bother to change the environment of Hell; they're all striving to become stronger.
In Hell, the class divisions are even more obvious. A powerful soul can rule over hundreds of weaker souls, driving them for decades or even hundreds of years.
"Let's go. The gatekeeper let us in so easily. Mephisto must know we're here, otherwise we wouldn't have gotten in so easily," Johnny said.
Han Yu wasn't surprised by this. The other party was a big Demon. If he didn't know these people were entering Hell, then he might as well not be a big Demon.
They had walked in the front door in a very aboveboard manner. If Mephisto didn't know, Han Yu would have just come in and taken Hela away.
The reason he was coming in so properly was that he didn't want to make enemies with Mephisto. Although he wasn't afraid of him at all, if he messed around in the human world, it would still affect Han Yu.
After all, there were too many players of the GTA game. If Mephisto did something to cause an accident to the players, it would still cause some harm to Han Yu.
They approached the castle. A butler-looking person was already standing at the door, waiting. Seeing Han Yu and the others arrive, the butler bowed to them and said very politely, "Mr. Johnny, Mr. Han Yu, welcome here. Please come in."
The man's skin was red, his eyes were pure black, and his ears were slightly pointed, making him look like a Demon as well.
"Yo, Sebastian, long time no see. How have you been?"
Johnny greeted the butler named Sebastian, and it seemed the two had known each other for quite some time.
"I am well, thank you for your concern," the butler said, neither obsequious nor arrogant.
This was Mephisto's direct confidant, and his strength in Hell was considerable. If he were to go to the human world, he could probably easily defeat all the Avengers except for Thor and Hulk.
In Hell, not everyone could be called a "Demon." The others were merely imps. Only someone like the butler Sebastian could call himself a Demon.
After a simple greeting, Johnny led Han Yu and the others inside. They didn't need to push the door; it opened as they stepped forward.
The first thing Han Yu saw upon entering was the massive staircase directly ahead in the hall. A man stood on it, smiling at them.
The man appeared to be about thirty years old, with black hair and a long black robe. His skin was red, covered with irregular patterns. His eyes were pure white, without any black.
In terms of facial features, he was not bad-looking, but the color of his eyes and skin was too unsettling.
He was the Lord of Hell, the Great Demon, Mephisto!
"Mr. Han, welcome, please come in." Seeing Han Yu and the others standing at the door, Mephisto smiled.
"Oh, so you are Mephisto. Seeing is believing, indeed." Han Yu chuckled.
He showed no discomfort, staring straight into Mephisto's eyes. His calm and composed demeanor surprised the latter.
His eyes possessed the power to bewitch the hearts of men. Just a single glance could plunge a person into an endless abyss, from which ordinary people could never escape.
Now, he was staring at Han Yu, and the latter's eyes remained clear, unchanged.
"Mr. Han's mental strength is truly formidable. No wonder even Odin bows down to you." Mephisto smiled, revealing his pale teeth. "This isn't the place for a conversation. Let's talk in the room."
The group arrived in a room where the butler, Sebastian, was already present, preparing tea for everyone. Seeing them enter, he picked up the tray and stood quietly to the side, awaiting Mephisto's instructions.
Mephisto walked towards the main seat and sat down, picking up a porcelain teacup and taking a sip of the tea. He said, "I know why you're here. You want to take Hela out?"
"Since you're already in the know, that saves me some trouble. Let's just talk price. What do you want to let her go?" Han Yu said, crossing his legs.
"Oh, that's interesting. Why should I be the one to let her go? Odin banished her, not me." Mephisto looked at the tea leaves gently swirling in his cup, his eyes subtly shifting at Han Yu's words. A barely perceptible curve appeared at the corner of his mouth.
Hela was banished by Odin. In reality, if Odin's divine power was lost, nothing could imprison her. She could return to Asgard at any time.
"Let's not beat around the bush. You can't possibly be unaware of Odin's loss of power. And precisely because of this, you've taken action to trap Hela, preventing her from returning to Asgard. Am I right?"
Han Yu smiled faintly, all of this based on his own judgment.
Because he came with memories of his past life, in Han Yu's memory, Hela immediately appeared on Earth when Odin died. This showed that Hela's imprisonment was directly related to Odin's divine power.
Now that Odin's divine power was long gone, it was as good as dead, yet Hela had not returned to Asgard for a long time. Han Yu deduced that something must have happened to her in Hell, otherwise, how could she still not have gone back to kill everyone.
After listening to the gossip about Johnny Blaze, Han Yu finally understood why Hela wouldn't go back.
It was because this guy had taken a liking to Hela. Knowing that Odin had lost his divine power and wouldn't be able to harm him, he trapped Hela here.
"This feels like Zhu Bajie forcing marriage at Gao Village."
