At this moment, a series of urgent wind chimes sounded from downstairs, accompanied by faint screams from outside the shop.
Outside the shop, an extremely large, circular flying ship was hovering in the air. Just its lower half filled the entire street, making it terrifyingly huge.
The humans on the ground saw this circular flying ship, and their fear of giant objects made them inexplicably terrified of such a behemoth.
S.H.I.E.L.D. couldn't have failed to notice this invasion by an alien force.
Inside S.H.I.E.L.D.
"Director Fury, a foreign warship has broken through Earth's atmosphere and landed in New York!" a S.H.I.E.L.D. staff member reported.
"What level of threat?" Nick Fury, wearing a black eye patch, walked forward with a serious expression and asked.
Beside him, Maria Hill, a senior S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, also stepped forward and sat in front of the computer. Her hands flew across the keyboard as she looked at the data on the screen.
"Estimated… Level A!" Maria Hill said, her voice filled with surprise as she brought up the data panel displayed by the warning system.
Level A! This level of threat could endanger an entire large city, with the potential to spread damage to neighboring cities.
To ensure everyone knew how to respond in emergencies, Nick Fury and Captain America had discussed and established a grading system for alien disasters. From largest to smallest, the levels were C, B, A, and S.
The previous incidents involving Loki's invasion of New York and Ultron's Sokovia incident were around Level A. Anything that could be contained within a single city was generally considered Level A.
Level S, however, posed a threat to the entire planet. Level A disasters were still not to be taken lightly.
If Ultron had succeeded in crashing the Sokovia island, it would have become a Level S event. Even a single event of that magnitude could spell disaster for humanity.
"Level A, immediately notify Stark and his team to prepare for action." Nick Fury calmly assigned tasks, then asked, "What's their current location?"
The staff member immediately pulled up the address. Nick Fury leaned in to look, and a look of surprise and helplessness appeared on his face. He said, "Well, never mind notifying Stark. We can also cancel the alert. Let's just each do our own thing."
Maria Hill, who was standing beside him, also leaned in to take a look. Her initially tense expression vanished, and she secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
Seeing the two of them like this, the staff member was puzzled. Looking at Nick Fury and Maria Hill, whose expressions had returned to normal, he asked, "Why, sir? This is a Level A disaster!"
Nick Fury turned his head and glanced at the address on the computer screen, saying, "The gods there... If even they can't solve it, we might as well start preparing for the aftermath."
The staff member was somewhat puzzled. He looked at the computer screen and murmured, "221B Baker Street... Is there anything special here?"
Maria Hill patted his shoulder and said, "Remember how the director and the others went crazy for no reason before?"
The staff member nodded and said, "Yes, I remember. Didn't even the Hulk get hit then? And then, I don't know who was so amazing that they stopped him and even made the antidote."
Maria Hill pointed at the address on the computer screen and said, "It was the residents at this address who did it. Their strength is completely above us ordinary humans. So, if they can't handle something, we shouldn't even think about dealing with it. They could crush us like ants."
After saying that, Maria Hill stood up and followed Nick Fury. The two of them left, leaving the staff member still in a daze.
"This great god's place is really unassuming."
221B Baker Street was the address of Han Yu's general store.
At this moment, the circular spaceship had landed in the street where the general store was located. A beam of light shot down from the spaceship, directly hitting the entrance of the general store.
The light dissipated, revealing an alien in a black robe and a burly, shirtless alien standing at the entrance of the shop.
Seeing their arrival, the first reaction of the surrounding ordinary people wasn't to run away, but to stand far off and watch.
This was the curiosity that all humans possessed. As long as the matter didn't involve them, they could watch from the sidelines and even cheer them on.
These were the Cull Obsidian and Ebony Maw, the Black Order who had come to take the Infinity Stones and the energy of the Cosmic Heart.
Ebony Maw turned his head and looked at the humans taking photos with their phones. He snorted, "Such lowly creatures."
Speaking, Ebony Maw waved his hand, and an invisible wave emanated from him, sending the people taking photos flying backwards.
Only then did people start screaming and fleeing the scene.
Ebony Maw ignored these ordinary people and looked at the grocery store in front of him. This seemingly small shop actually had someone inside who could absorb Thanos's Cosmic Heart energy? "Cull Obsidian, go break down their door."
Ebony Maw placed his hands in front of him, hidden within the sleeves of his robe. He disdained doing the work himself; it was most appropriate to leave this kind of labor to Cull Obsidian.
Cull Obsidian spoke a series of unintelligible alien words. The only thing others could understand was him nodding his head, as if agreeing. Then, he was seen holding a huge alien technological weapon, which looked like a scythe and a hammer. The muscles and veins on his arm bulged, and with a low shout, he slammed it down hard at the entrance of the grocery store.
The force of this blow could probably break through even the metal security doors of a bank. How could this seemingly ordinary and flimsy little iron door withstand it?
Ordinary people watched from afar, and they couldn't help but be surprised by this scene. These two aliens had come to Earth with such a big show of force, and they were actually targeting an unremarkable grocery store?
This was truly unbelievable. Even if they weren't robbing, there was no need to come to a place like this, right?
Just as ordinary people were still confused, a shocking scene unfolded before their eyes.
When Cull Obsidian's hammer-sickle was still less than two meters from the door of the general store, the small golden wind chimes hanging above the entrance emitted a wave of sound visible to the naked eye.
And this sound wave, within a short distance of two meters, suddenly grew larger, penetrating Cull Obsidian's weapon and directly impacting his chest.
Cull Obsidian's beady black eyes widened, and he was directly knocked back by the impact, leaving a deep fissure on the ground.
