Ethan's POV
She stormed into my chambers without knocking.
The heavy oak doors slammed against the wall, echoing through the room as I turned sharply from the desk. "Do you ever knock?" I asked, my tone sharper than I intended.
Soraya ignored me completely. Her eyes were blazing, not with defiance this time, but desperation. "Where is Asha?" she demanded.
I said nothing.
"Ethan, please," she stepped closer, her voice trembling. "She's innocent. Let her go."
I clenched my fists. "It's not in my power," I said quietly, forcing my voice to remain steady.
Soraya shook her head and took another step, her anger fading into despair. "You can stop this. I know you can."
When I didn't answer, she dropped to her knees.
The sight tore something inside me.
"Please," she whispered, eyes glistening. "Asha doesn't deserve this."
