Soraya's POV
"How?" I asked, my voice breaking between confusion and disbelief.
Asha gave a faint smile, still catching her breath. "How did you think I found out you were under the bed?" she said softly. "I can sense your wolf now, my lady. It's awake."
"My wolf…" I whispered. "But I was supposed to be dead, Asha. I died… and now I'm alive—only to find all these strange things happening to me."
"There's nothing strange about this, my lady," Asha said gently.
"Nothing strange?" I snapped, standing abruptly. "My hair is suddenly white, Asha!" I ran a trembling hand through it, the silver strands catching the light like frost. "And wait—just wait—you'll see."
I lifted my hand and waved it through the air. Nothing happened.
I frowned and tried again, more forcefully this time. Still nothing.
Asha stared at me, eyes widening as I gestured once more, desperation creeping into my movements.
