Chapter 134 - 134: Breakthrough to Level 50

Ye Yin listened quietly, still processing the shock of Dugu Bo's gleeful story. He never would have expected the seemingly upright old man to be such a cunning prankster. It made him wonder if some of his own abnormal behavior had been subconsciously learned from his eccentric mentor.

"Anyway, I've used up all that black garlic," Dugu Bo said, clapping Ye Yin forcefully on the shoulder. "Shouldn't you give me ten or eight more?"

As his hand made contact, Dugu Bo suddenly froze, his expression changing from mischievous glee to utter astonishment. He could feel a terrifying change in Ye Yin's spirit power. "You've reached Level 50!" he exclaimed.

Ye Yin simply nodded. The three Immortal Herbs he had consumed had already boosted his spirit power to the brink of a breakthrough after he acquired his fourth spirit ring. His recent, deeply refreshing interaction with Dugu Yan, aided by the mysterious Netherworld Essential Oil, had provided the final push he needed.

"Hahaha! Good! Good boy! This is a day for double celebration!" Dugu Bo burst into a hearty laugh, looking even happier than if he had broken through himself. "Let's go, let's go! What are we waiting for? I'm personally taking you to the Sunset Forest right now! I'll find you the best top-tier fifth spirit ring imaginable, I guarantee you'll be satisfied!"

Without another word, he grabbed Ye Yin's arm. A powerful, emerald-green spirit power enveloped both of them, transforming them into a stream of light that shot into the sky, speeding towards the Sunset Forest.

The wind whistled past their ears as the ground below became a blurry tapestry of green and brown. As they flew, Dugu Bo enthusiastically laid out his plan. "The fifth spirit ring is crucial! With your foundation, I think we should aim for something in the tens of thousands of years, don't you? Your fourth ring was already at the ten-thousand-year level, so your fifth needs to be at least twenty thousand. Your Spirit is special, so as long as the age is high enough, the type isn't a huge issue. We could even find a thirty-thousand-year Spirit Beast of a slightly weaker species to really max out the age. Don't you worry, I know the layout of the Sunset Forest like the back of my hand."

Ye Yin let the old man carry him, impressed by his speed. In less than half an hour, they had already penetrated the core area of the vast forest. The air here was thick with a primal, dangerous aura, and the roars of powerful Spirit Beasts echoed from every direction, making one's heart pound with a mix of fear and excitement.

Under Dugu Bo's expert guidance, they quickly located a Biphosphorus Seven Wonders Flower that was approximately thirty thousand years old. When it came to poison-attribute Spirit Beasts, no one knew more than the Poison Douluo.

Ye Yin looked at the enormous, deadly plant and nodded. "Good! This is it!"

Dugu Bo just snorted. Without any grand movement, he simply stomped his right foot lightly on the ground.

Buzz!

A ripple of emerald-green energy, visible to the naked eye, spread out violently from where he stood. The Biphosphorus Seven Wonders Flower was instantly enraged by the provocation. Its massive main vine reared up like a giant python, and a terrifying, multicolored poisonous mist swept towards them. It moved like a physical tide, covering the sky and making a harsh, corrosive sound as it dissolved everything in its path.

"Hmph, petty tricks," Dugu Bo said, not even bothering to lift an eyelid. He casually waved his sleeve.

A more condensed, more profound stream of emerald poison surged from his robe, meeting the multicolored tide head-on. The moment the two clouds of poison met, the Biphosphorus Seven Wonders Flower seemed to sense a fatal threat. Its hideous, flower-like maw let out a terrified shriek, and its main vine rapidly retracted, trying to burrow back into the ground to escape.

"Trying to run? It's too late for that!"

A sharp, phosphorescent light flashed in Dugu Bo's eyes, and his figure vanished in a blur. The next moment, he had reappeared directly above the massive main vine. He simply reached out with one withered-looking hand, his five fingers forming a claw, and grabbed the wildly twisting giant vine from mid-air.
