I arrive at Esther's mansion, greeted by two maids who tell me she's expecting me. Amanda came with me, since she's the one handling all the political maneuvering that comes with noble affairs.
We're quickly led to a reception room, and as soon as we enter, I see Esther drinking a cup of blood that I recognize by scent as mine. She has a gentle smile on her face as she reads a book, as if she didn't have a care in the world.
"Lovely night, don't you think, my Queen? The moon truly enhances the calming beauty of your presence," she says in a tone that immediately frustrates me.
"Esther, I came to ask that you please... release the trade routes under your control... Amanda drew up a very fair contract, and I'm willing to pay a substantial amount..." I say, sitting down across from her while Amanda stays quiet.
