The three quickly entered the sea. Aquaman immediately surged forward, clearly trying to outdo Lin Chen in this domain.
Mela grew anxious. "Daoist, he's leaving us behind. Let's swim faster!"
Lin Chen cradled his head lazily, pulled Mela along, and moved through a waterway, instantly overtaking Aquaman.
Aquaman swam hard for an hour. Seeing no sign of Lin Chen behind him, he felt proud. "Although the Daoist is capable on land, in the sea he still has to stay on the sidelines."
"Arthur, can you hurry up? The Daoist and I have been waiting for you for almost half an hour," Mela called from ahead.
Aquaman's face went blank.
That night, the three arrived at the sea region of Atlantis's capital.
It was Aquaman's first time there. Looking at the underwater bridge, he said, "What's the point of building a bridge underwater? Are they crazy?"
"The Gate Bridge is a relic of the old world. It's also the only route in and out of the capital," Mela said lightly as she looked at the toll station at the end of the bridge, every bit the cool royal lady.
Lin Chen wrapped an arm around Mela's waist. "Mela, this place is beautiful. I just want to ask—are houses in Atlantis expensive? And is parking convenient?"
Mela said coquettishly, "Daoist, I originally had a large police villa, several flying fish cars, and princess benefits. Since I eloped with you, they've all been taken back. You have to compensate me."
Lin Chen pinched her chin. "You were the one who ran away from the marriage, and now you blame me?"
"I just don't care!" Mela twisted her body, acting spoiled.

Aquaman looked at Mela. "Is that true?"
Mela recalled the princess who looked like a seahorse. "Yes, the Daoist didn't lie to you. By sea-clan standards, she's very pretty."
Aquaman clenched his fists. Now he had a goal to strive for.
Lin Chen's eyelids twitched. As expected, the prettier the woman, the more deceptive!
Mela waved for a ride at the bridge, and an underwater spacecraft shaped like a flying fish stopped.
A humanoid mantis shrimp stepped down, eyes lighting up. "Oh! Princess Mela! I'm so lucky to meet you."
"Lucky? Not necessarily," Lin Chen said, knocking him unconscious with a chop.
The three drove off in the shrimp-man's spacecraft and headed toward the border checkpoint at the city gate.
Mela showed her travel permit and smoothly piloted the craft into the city.
The city was colorful, with umbrella-shaped houses. Great white sharks and whales labored as beasts of burden hauling goods.
Lin Chen shook his head. The welfare of the sea clan didn't seem to benefit all creatures.
Mela drove them to the old city—the former capital of Atlantis when it was still on land.
They entered a sunken ship, where Vico, Orm's minister, was already waiting.
"Vico!" Aquaman laughed and hugged him. "Why is my cheap brother attacking the land?"
Vico looked grim. "Strictly speaking, this isn't an attack. Just a warning."
Lin Chen shook his head. "A warning from Orm has killed and displaced countless people. There must be a price."
Vico's expression darkened. "Sir Lin, this is a matter of our sea clan. You cannot imagine the military power of Atlantis."
Lin Chen almost laughed.
"When Steppenwolf came, why didn't you send troops to protect Earth? Land technology may be behind yours, but top-tier individuals can't be stopped. Even a local powerhouse like King Heim can't handle it."
Mela tugged Lin Chen's sleeve, signaling him to show the elder some respect.
Lin Chen couldn't be bothered to continue.
Vico added, "A land submarine attacked King Orm and King Nereus. That united the two kings again."
"My father was attacked?" Mela was startled.
Lin Chen said, "Actually, that was staged by Orm himself. The attackers were pirates he hired."
Mela fell silent. "How could my father be so easily fooled? My IQ must follow my mother's… No, I'm going to persuade him."
Vico: "…"
He took out a map. "Arthur, you must step forward and find the lost Trident. It has the power to rule the ocean."
Just as he finished—
Boom!
A bomb struck the sunken ship.
Lin Chen shielded Mela, blocking stones and debris.
Vico slipped away.
Several white-armored soldiers rushed in and aimed their guns. "Princess Mela, you are under arrest!"
Aquaman charged forward, knocking them down one by one. "Catch me? Not that easy!"
Then several red-armored warriors rushed in. Aquaman eagerly tried to prove himself and charged at them.
These red-armored warriors were far stronger—Orm's elite commanders.
"Master, help!" Aquaman shouted.
Lin Chen kicked a stone beside his foot, sending an armored warrior flying. He leapt over, delivering punches and kicks. The red-armored warriors screamed and collapsed.
Mela leaned against Lin Chen's shoulder. "See? This is my boyfriend. You little shrimp soldiers still want to arrest me?"
"Mela!" A roar sounded outside the ship—it was King Orm.
The trio stepped out. Hundreds surrounded them, guns aimed.
King Orm glared. Vico stood beside him, pointing at Lin Chen.
Lin Chen smiled. "This old fox really knows how to play. Quite the clever one."
He almost sympathized with Orm—his fiancée didn't love him, his ministers were double agents, and even his mother favored Aquaman.
King Nereus shouted, "Mela, come here!"
Lin Chen replied, "King Nereus, last time Orm tried to kill you. How long did it take you to reconcile?"
Nereus looked uneasy. "Son-in-law—no, Daoist Lin—that was a misunderstanding. I was attacked by surface dwellers too."
Lin Chen shook his head. "If I told you the attacker was a pirate hired by Orm?"
Nereus looked at Orm in shock.
"Lin Chen, don't sow discord among the sea clans!" Orm pointed his trident at Lin Chen. "Just because you defeated Steppenwolf—"
Lin Chen held Mela's waist. "I'm just that amazing. What about it?"
Orm pointed at Mela angrily. "You broke the alliance between our nations. That's treason against the sea!"
Mela's eyes reddened with tears. "I just want to find true love. Why is it so hard? Being a princess is a shackle! I even gave up my house, cars, and benefits—still not enough?"
She looked pitiful. "King Orm still wants to beat me. I'm so miserable…"
Lin Chen sighed. "What a green-tea performance. Impressive."
The sea warriors felt sympathy and lowered their guns.
They murmured:
"King Orm really got 'green'…"
"I know Master Lin. He's famous. He defeated Steppenwolf and saved Earth."
"He can grow huge and kick Steppenwolf away!"
"A hero deserves respect."
"Heroes with beauties—down with arranged marriages!"
"Yes, Princess Mela has the right to pursue love!"

King Orm's face turned completely green with rage.
