Weston walked into a fairly large room, his eyes on the floor-to-ceiling glass wall. He could see a small portion of a towering wall made of gold not too far away, partly blocked by a few skyscrapers.
Softly clicking his tongue, Weston tilted his head toward the bed where Valentina lay, deep in sleep even while thousands panicked outside. Thank God he had arrived a few hours into her labor, or this could have cost him greatly.
However… Weston approached the small bed where a little baby lay, his bright blue eyes wide open as he scanned his surroundings, even when his brain couldn't really process it all.
Weston smiled. "It's funny, isn't it? Look at you, so innocent, and your mother lying there like the future of humanity doesn't depend on her and you, this innocent little guy…"
