Two more floors later, Godfrey found himself standing in an abandoned metropolis city. It was like everyone in the city suddenly vanished overnight, leaving a hollow city behind.
Godfrey looked at Jasper's mother from the corner of his eyes. He was already lacking knights, there was no way he would assign one more.
She just had to find somewhere to stay while he cleared this floor.
"I think you —!" His eyes flashed as his hand moved, catching an arrow right before his face. Lament stretched his halberd to block Jasper's mother, and the arrow shot at her bounced off.
Godfrey looked around, his eyes moving from left to right. When his irises went to the right, he caught something, a black smoke that seemed to have the vague shape of a humanoid on the sixth floor of an eight storey building.
"I'm afraid…" He looked around. "We're surrounded." His statement made Jasper's mother tremble as she finally caught sight of their attacker.
