Chapter 171 - Chapter 171: Is Caren Dead?

"I'm sorry, I really don't know anything else," Caren said. "I'm just the supervisor of this Holy Grail War. I don't know why you would break in here."

Caren was still pretending to be clueless, and made it sound like she really had nothing to do with it.

Tia curled her lips in a scornful way.

This Caren is really good at acting.

And I'm right behind her, but she doesn't even have any defenses up. Does she really think I wouldn't dare to kill her?

"Lancelot, do it." Tia had been wondering what kind of story Caren would make up, but she was just trying to deny any connection.

Since that's the case, Tia will just attack her directly.

"Yes!" Lancelot answered. The next moment, Lancelot's sword pierced through Caren's body.

"Ugh..." After being pierced by the sword, Caren let out a muffled groan, then looked back at Tia with an incredulous expression. "You! You really killed me..."

"I hate people who talk in riddles the most. Before, there were always people talking in riddles in front of me. It annoyed me to no end. Back then, I had to put up with it, but now... I want to see if your dad will come out after I kill you," Tia said.

As Lancelot returned to Tia's side, Caren fell directly to the ground.

Tia frowned, because in every way, Caren looked like she was dead, but Tia really couldn't believe she could kill Caren so easily.

So, Tia waited there.

Tia wanted to see if Caren's body would turn into a zombie or something.

"Lancelot, tell the people outside not to reveal themselves, and not to act rashly. Let Jekyll check every corner of the Holy Church again. I'm going to stay here and guard Caren's body," Tia said, then put on her invisibility cloak again.

"Okay!" Lancelot nodded.

Soon, half the night had passed.

"Master, Jekyll says he can't find anything suspicious here," Lancelot said to Tia in her mind. "Jekyll checked everywhere except under Caren's body, including where we're sitting, and the area in front of Caren."

"Hmm," Tia replied. "I didn't even notice that Jekyll had been near me?"

"That's right, Jekyll has been circling around you for a while," Lancelot nodded and said.

"Okay, well, do you think they have the ability to make me not feel them at all?" Tia asked in her mind.

"As far as I know, they don't have that ability," Lancelot replied in her mind. "Not just me, but everyone outside can't feel anyone else watching nearby, unless they really have some ability we don't know about, like they also have similar invisibility cloaks or something."

"Sigh..." Tia sighed in her mind.

In the end, half the night was completely wasted, and she got nothing out of it.

Tia thought to herself.

Just then, there was a sudden noise from outside.

"Hide well! Don't get exposed!" Tia suddenly said to Lancelot in her mind, because Tia felt something coming from outside.

"I know, I already felt it! I'll go outside and take a look," Lancelot said, and also put on his invisibility cloak and went outside, telling everyone, "They're back, everyone hide well!"

Everyone wasn't stupid, and naturally already felt it, so they all wrapped their invisibility cloaks tightly around themselves.

After a while.

Cu Chulainn's figure suddenly appeared there.

"Come out, there shouldn't be anyone nearby," Cu Chulainn said.

As his voice fell, another figure appeared, it was Sieg.

"Cu Chulainn, are you sure my Master is still alive?" Sieg asked.

"Don't worry, my Master said your Master won't die," Cu Chulainn said.

"But, I can't feel my Master's magic power flowing anymore," Sieg said.

"That's because that woman put herself into a fake death state," Cu Chulainn said. "I know that woman too well, she's worse than her father! And she's very strong, don't underestimate her."

"Very strong?" Sieg asked with some doubt. "I really can't tell."

The two of them were talking as they walked inside.

"Isn't it too quiet here? Before, we went to those people's houses, but they were all gone. Isn't it too dangerous for us to just show up like this?" Sieg asked.

"Don't worry, are they going to collectively hide all around us and make us not feel them at all? Haha! That's impossible!" Cu Chulainn laughed loudly.

"You're right," Sieg nodded.

The two of them talked as they continued to walk inside, and soon they pushed open the door and saw Caren's body.

Cu Chulainn frowned as he looked at Caren's body.

"She's been dead for half the night, the body is almost cold," Cu Chulainn said.

"Didn't you say my Master wouldn't die?" Sieg turned his head and questioned Cu Chulainn.

"That's what my Master said with certainty, I really trusted him, I didn't expect him to be wrong!" Cu Chulainn looked like it wasn't his fault.

"She really is dead, I can't feel her life force at all," Sieg said, while carefully checking Caren's body.

At this time, Tia was there watching silently, listening to their conversation, while telling Lancelot to tell the others outside not to move.

Just then, Cu Chulainn said to Sieg again, "My Master just told me that he's very sorry for your Master's death, but Servants can't be without a Master forever, so you should go back and sign a contract with my Master as soon as possible."

"Okay," Sieg nodded.

With that, the two of them left.

"How is it? Are they far away? Lancelot, can you still feel their presence over there? Should Jekyll follow them?" Tia felt Cu Chulainn and Sieg's presence gradually fading away, and asked Lancelot in her mind.

"Jekyll has already followed them, their presence can't be felt at all now, but Matou Sakura said that Jekyll is still tracking Cu Chulainn's trail through his magical energy," Lancelot said.

"Hmm," Tia nodded.

"Master, what are you going to do? Leave? There's no point in waiting any longer, right?" Lancelot said.

"But I still feel like it's too strange that Caren died so easily. Caren is the heroine of Fate/hollow ataraxia, how could she really die so easily?" Tia still didn't believe that Caren was dead, after all, for Tia, the influence of the original game was still very big, while Lancelot only knew about these things from Tia, but had never personally experienced the games themselves.
