Morning arrived, bringing an end to the celebration and marking the start of a new era. Although it wasn't introduced to the world, everyone agreed to this day being the first day of the new era.
Samuel officially named it the Golden Age, and its first day the Glorious Rise. Hence, the day's name became the Glorious One.
Aegon stood at the entrance gate, looking at Samuel whose entire presence seemed to have undergone a change. Nobody else noticed it, but he did.
"Old man, did you make a choice yesterday?" he asked.
"You're annoyingly perceptive," Samuel snorted and turned toward the east. Though the twilight sky didn't allow the sun's arrival, Aegon could feel it rising there.
It was a strange feeling.
"So, what is it?" Aegon asked, still very curious.
"I'm not telling you," Samuel shook his head and said. "It's something I must do. And I'll see it through."
Aegon narrowed his eyes, feeling suspicious of him. He asked, "Why do I feel like I won't be seeing you anytime soon?"
