Chapter 424 - Chapter 426 – Even a 'Demon-Realm Angel' Is Still an Angel?

"Fang, Morningstar simply doesn't care about power. He leaves right after every speech—he's not someone we can just run into."

Starlight was happy that Fang Yuan was considerate of her feelings, but she still told the truth.

She was right; Satan had no need for social niceties, so he acted however he pleased and never gave anyone face.

But who was Fang Yuan?

He was Satan's boss—how could he be like everyone else?

"Old Lu!"

After the reporters left, Fang Yuan called to Lucifer, leaving Starlight totally stunned.

And to Starlight's amazement, the Church's idol Morningstar actually walked over.

"Old... Lu?"

Lucifer was speechless, disgusted by the nickname.

"You can call me Lu, or just Lucifer—but Old Lu?" Lucifer showed Fang Yuan his smooth face. "Look clearly—I'm not old!"

Seeing how familiar Fang Yuan and Morningstar were, Starlight exclaimed, "You two actually know each other?"

"Oh? A pretty little lady?"

Lucifer straightened his posture slightly, then nodded toward Fang Yuan.

"Official?"

Fang Yuan answered directly, "I don't do official."

"Scumbag!" Lucifer cursed.

"What, jealous?" Fang Yuan never gave an inch in a war of words with Satan.

After all, neither of them was a good person.

"Annie's been a Church fan since she was little, and now she's your fan too—so shouldn't you give her an autograph?" Fang Yuan said.

"Of course, no problem!"

Lucifer naturally wouldn't refuse a request from a devout Church believer.

But just as he picked up pen and paper, he paused and blinked at Fang Yuan. "Which name should I sign?"

Fang Yuan understood what he meant.

If her idol signed the name Satan, Starlight's worldview would probably collapse on the spot, right?

"Morningstar!" Fang Yuan said hastily.

Among Lucifer's names, that was the only vaguely positive one.

With a few quick strokes, Lucifer signed the paper and handed it to the thrilled Starlight.

Morningstar's autograph!

Starlight cradled the paper carefully; even the New York Arch Bishop had once been refused an autograph by Morningstar.

She never expected Fang Yuan to have such pull!

If Fang Yuan hadn't already won Starlight over, he could've taken her straight into the woods right then.

After the signing, just as Fang Yuan was about to take Starlight back, his brow twitched and he changed tack: "Annie, head home first. Morningstar and I still have something to discuss."

"Oh? Okay!"

Starlight quickly agreed.

Once she left, Fang Yuan smiled lightly at Lucifer. "See how high-profile you are? You've drawn aggro."

On both sides of the road outside the church, a black car was parked in each, their occupants glaring and armed, eyes fixed on the church entrance.

There was no doubt whom they were waiting for.

"Can't be me!" Fang Yuan raised his hand first. "I teleported into the cathedral—no one spotted me."

"How about we bet Mammon's bull-bull?"

Lucifer narrowed his eyes, choosing not to stoop to his level.

He wasn't Musk; he couldn't accept his son turning into a daughter.

"This sect, that sect—outsiders have actually gathered five or six different factions," Lucifer shook his head. "Heretics!"

Indeed, before the others even made a move, Fang Yuan and Lucifer already knew their plan and had even dug up where they came from.

"You're a demon—don't go calling others heretics," Fang Yuan said. "Want to deal with them?"

"Absolutely!"

Lucifer nodded decisively, even looking a bit excited.

"It's been years since I last got assassinated!"

Well, given Satan's current power, finding anyone brave enough to assassinate him was genuinely tricky.

So Fang Yuan and Satan got into one car and, right in front of the killers, drove toward Lucifer's Villa.

The two black cars hurriedly followed.

"I bet my side gets more bullets!" Fang Yuan boasted while driving.

He was only behind the wheel because he'd lost the fight for the passenger seat to Satan.

Lucifer snorted. "They're here to kill me—of course my side gets more."

Fang Yuan instantly wagered, "Then let's bet Mammon's bull-bull. If I win, we get him neutered."

Lucifer put his hands on his hips. "And if I win?"

"Fine, give him an extra bull-bull." Fang Yuan didn't even turn his head.

Satan: "..."

Mammon: "..."

As they bantered, they passed a traffic light when the two black cars suddenly flanked them left and right.

Without a word, the thugs raised machine guns and rattled off at Fang Yuan's car: rat-a-tat-tat-tat-tat!

Clink-clink-clink-clink-clink-clink!

Bullets littered the ground while their car was turned into a sieve.

"Beguiling demon, drop dead!" Only then did the lead thug shout.

Clearly, going by the script, they really wanted Morningstar dead.

But just as the thugs were about to scram, an untimely voice piped up.

"132:127—I win!"

"More bullets on my side!"

Fang Yuan laughed out loud.

At that moment, the blood on him and Lucifer slowly faded, even their figures dissipated.

They appeared in front of the two black cars—what had been inside was only an illusion.

The thugs looked at each other, ready to open fire again, but with a wave of Lucifer's hand they all knelt in a row, arms crossed.

Lucifer's face was sour; though the assassination posed no danger, Fang Yuan being right still stung.

"No good, I want a turn too." Lucifer thought for a moment, then said to the thugs, "I'll ask a question—whoever answers gets to walk free!"

"Dream on, we'll never tell you where we're from!" the thug leader shouted.

"Dream-come-true Sect—I know." Lucifer exposed them in one breath, leaving the leader stunned.

"So what do you want to ask?" the leader quickly said after a pause.

"Pretty sharp." Lucifer chuckled. "My question is: who's your favorite Angel?"

"One chance each!"

With that he looked expectantly at the dozen or so thugs.

"Shameless," Fang Yuan muttered.

"Michael!"

"Gabriel!"

"Raphael!"

The thugs immediately rattled off the well-known archangels.

Lucifer was displeased but knew it was only natural.

"Any others?" he asked.

"Uriel?"

"Raguel?"

"What else?"

The thugs racked their brains, finally coming up with—

"Sariel?"

"Nope, I didn't hear the answer I wanted!" Lucifer said outright.

"It doesn't have to be an Angel staying in Heaven."

"Oh? Oh!" Suddenly a bandit yelled, "I know!"

Lucifer's eyes lit up. "Spit it out!"

"Makoto Rika!"

"Pfft!"

Fang Yuan burst out laughing.

Even a 'Demon-Realm Angel' counts as an Angel, huh?
