The beasts went berserk!

The horde, which had been retreating, erupted into chaos again with Natsu's thunderous roar.

Ur and his companions' faces instantly darkened, like the bottom of a pan.

"That idiot…" Gildarts cursed under his breath.

He glanced at Ur and then listened to Natsu's nonstop shouting outside, and couldn't help but feel confused.

They're all mages from the same guild… so why does this guy act so completely differently from everyone else?

Watching Ur remain calm and collected, while Natsu jumped around like a fool, Gildarts suddenly had the urge to throw Natsu out of the guild.

"Requip, Heaven Wheel Armor!"

"Circle Sword!"

"Ice-Make: Lance."

One authoritative command after another resounded outside, and several powerful magical auras suddenly appeared around the castle.

Feeling these familiar magical energies, Ur, Gildarts, and Mirajane no longer hesitated. They flung open the castle gates and charged out.

Without Singer's control, the beast horde became like headless flies. Although they still had great strength in numbers, compared to when they fought Ur and the others earlier, the horde now resembled a disorganized rabble.

Fairy Tail had many destructive members!

Among them were Natsu, Gray, and Mirajane—the main force. Previously, after Gildarts and Mirajane fought, the forest within roughly two hundred meters around the castle had been reduced to ruins. But now, with Natsu, Gray, and the others joining the battlefield, the area of destruction began expanding at a visible rate.

The newcomers were no pushovers.

With just a few charges, they scattered the uncontrolled beasts and took down individual monsters in a handful of strikes.

Ur watched them slaughter the beasts and felt a pang of frustration.

He thought, 'When I read the original story, these guys never killed enemies. So why here does their magic have such destructive power? Even when I gave my all to claim the monsters, I still couldn't beat them to it!'

Boom!

Gildarts unleashed a punch, and the ground before him shattered in layers, extending tens of meters. Every beast standing on that land was blasted away by the surge of magical power, landing with a scream before fleeing.

Gildarts' situation was somewhat unfortunate.

Although the horde of 500 beasts posed little real threat to someone of his strength, the manipulation by Singer forced him into direct combat. Additionally, he had to protect Mirajane and Ur.

Even for Gildarts, fighting 500 beasts head-on was a tough challenge—two fists against four hands! Pride was also at stake. Losing face in front of guildmates motivated him to put full fury into every strike. Even without fully restored magic, a single punch could still obliterate a section of land. Before long, the ruined area expanded once more.

"ROOOAAR!!"

The battlefield was chaotic.

The roars of countless beasts mixed with the explosive sounds of magic, composing a symphony of iron and blood.

Most wild creatures have a survival instinct, avoiding unnecessary danger, and the beasts were no exception. Without Singer's manipulation, the monsters weren't dumb enough to die senselessly in place. Especially the weaker ones, upon sensing Natsu and the others' dangerous aura, they fled in panic.

Ur was normally eager to collect monster heads, but this time he was stopped.

Before him stood a monster rivaling an S-Class mage in strength, massive, covered in black scales, terrifying, with overwhelming presence and ferocity.

Who knew why such a monster had singled him out?

Upon the black-scaled beast's arrival, it made no unnecessary movements and immediately exhaled a purple breath attack.

Ur's expression changed as he quickly dodged.

The toxic breath hit a massive rock under Ur's feet, instantly corroding it into a muddy mess as if it were sulfuric acid.

"Poisonous!" Ur's eyes narrowed. Any creature with poison was dangerous, especially a beast of this caliber; the potency of its venom was unknown.

"ROOOAAR!!" The black-scaled monster raised its claw.

Bang!

Ur dodged just in time as the giant claws slammed the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust.

Swish!

Ur counterattacked, moving like lightning. He darted in front of the black-scaled monster and swung his blade down with immense force.
