Chapter 108 - CHAPTER 108

Score Machine, Freddy

It felt like he had only just fallen asleep when Xu Mo woke up with a start.

But this wasn't his bedroom. Instead, he found himself lying on the floor of a dim, rusty boiler room.

A sinister laugh echoed from the far end of the corridor.

Xu Mo rose to his feet calmly.

"So this is the dream world?" he muttered, glancing at his hands.

To his surprise, both his physical strength and mental energy had recovered to their peak. In reality, this was impossible—but here, it was clear: he had been dragged into a dream by Freddy Krueger.

A faint smile tugged at Xu Mo's lips. In dreams, everything was governed by subconscious thought. As long as the mind could accept something, it became real. If someone believed deep down that they were Superman, then in this dream world, they could truly wield superhuman strength.

Of course, that was easier said than done. Nearly everyone subconsciously knew they were only human. But Xu Mo was different—his strength in the Marvel world was already real. Here, within the dream, he retained that same planetary-level power.

The door creaked open.

A figure stepped inside, dragging his bladed glove along the wall. Sparks flew as the metal scraped, filling the air with a shrill, grating sound.

Xu Mo's eyes narrowed, and with a flicker, his figure vanished.

When he reappeared, he was hovering in midair directly before Freddy.

Under the brim of his battered fedora, Freddy's face was a grotesque mask of burned flesh, twisted and hideous. But Xu Mo's expression didn't waver.

Freddy froze. He hadn't expected his target to appear right in front of him. Before he could react—

Boom!

Xu Mo's fist slammed into his chest, blowing Freddy's body apart into fragments.

Xu Mo floated above the ground, waiting. He knew one strike wouldn't be enough.

Sure enough, Freddy's form slowly knit itself back together. The dream-demon looked confused, stunned that he had died before even realizing what happened.

When Freddy finally came to his senses, he stared up at Xu Mo in shock.

"How is that possible?" he rasped.

For the first time, real doubt crept into his mind. He had dealt with countless dreamers before, but the one kind he hated most were lunatics—because madness often bent the rules of the dream more than his own power. Some could twist their dreams at will, torturing him endlessly.

And Xu Mo… felt just like that.

Xu Mo raised an eyebrow. "Immortality?"

He opened his system panel—and froze.

His points had just jumped by ten thousand.

Yet Freddy was still here. Which meant… Xu Mo hadn't just wounded him. He had killed him, and the system had recognized it. Freddy had simply resurrected.

Xu Mo's eyes gleamed. "Let's test that again."

With another blur of motion, he struck. Freddy shattered a second time.

Xu Mo checked his panel—another ten thousand points.

His heart raced with excitement. Freddy wasn't immortal. He was a renewable resource.

As Freddy resurrected once more, fear flickered across his disfigured face. He could return endlessly, yes, but every death still brought agonizing pain. And now, he couldn't even escape—something Xu Mo had locked down the dream, preventing his retreat.

Minutes passed. Freddy resurrected over and over, only to be smashed apart each time.

By the hundredth death, he stopped resisting. His powers of speed and strength meant nothing; Xu Mo crushed him before he could even move.

For the rest of the night, Xu Mo became a merciless scoring machine. Each punch: 10,000 points. Over and over. He didn't grow tired, didn't grow bored.

Every strike was profit.

And then—silence.

After yet another blow reduced Freddy to dust, Xu Mo waited. Seconds stretched into minutes. But this time, Freddy's body didn't reform.

Xu Mo frowned. "What's going on?"
