The Hulk Gets Hammered
Hill braced herself for the end. She shut her eyes and waited, five or six seconds passing in silence. Aside from the sound of a massive impact, nothing struck her.
Confused, she opened her eyes. By all rights, Hulk should have already sent her flying—he had never shown restraint, not even toward women.
Instead, a black-armored figure now stood between her and the raging monster, casually blocking Hulk's strike.
The armored figure turned slightly.
"Ms. Hill, we meet again."
Recognizing the voice, Hill blinked in shock.
"Xu Mo?"
"It seems I left quite the impression," Xu Mo chuckled. "You knew it was me just from my voice."
Hulk's fury grew. Seeing his punch ignored while Xu Mo calmly chatted with Hill, he roared and swung again.
"Careful!" Hill cried out, knowing all too well how powerful Hulk's blows were—cars tossed like toys, walls smashed like paper.
Xu Mo didn't move.
From the distance, Tony's HUD tracked the scene. He cursed under his breath.
"As if a mage belongs in a fistfight with Hulk…"
Even so, he knew Xu Mo's armor was unusual—Magneto-like powers and strange defensive properties. But still, standing there and taking a direct hit from Hulk's full strength? That was insanity.
Hulk's fist connected.
BOOM!
The shockwave rattled the street, nearly knocking Hill off her feet. Dust rose in thick clouds. When it cleared, Xu Mo still stood tall, Hulk's massive fist resting uselessly against his shoulder.
Tony's jaw dropped.
"Impossible… even a tank would have caved in. What the hell is that armor made of?"
His own cutting-edge suit was dented after just two glancing hits, even with shock absorption systems. Xu Mo had taken the full brunt and hadn't budged.
Inside the armor, Xu Mo was calm. He had deliberately withstood the attacks to test the Feather God Armor's limits. The results were clear: the third-level Force Armor could shrug off blows under one million tons of force. Hulk wasn't even close.
"Hmph. You're done," Xu Mo said evenly, raising a hand. "Now it's my turn."
His palm caught Hulk's next punch, effortlessly halting the massive fist mid-swing. Then Xu Mo floated upward, leveling his gaze with the monster. His right hand shot forward, striking Hulk square in the jaw.
CRASH!
The green giant disappeared into the side of a building, leaving a gaping hole in the wall. Seconds later, Hulk roared back out, teeth shattered, spitting blood and fragments onto the street. His size swelled further, rage amplifying his strength.
With a thunderous leap, he lunged again.
Xu Mo didn't bother dodging. At the last moment, he blocked the strike with one hand and drove his other fist down into Hulk's face.
The ground erupted in a deafening blast. Smoke cleared to reveal a crater more than ten meters deep. At the bottom lay Hulk, unconscious, his massive body sprawled and motionless.
Tony and Hill stared, stunned speechless.
Xu Mo landed lightly in front of Hill. His armor shimmered, dissolving into liquid-like streams before reforming into his casual clothes. The streets were deserted—no risk of anyone witnessing his transformation.
Hill placed a hand over her chest, exhaling in relief.
"If it weren't for you… S.H.I.E.L.D. would be holding my funeral right now."
Xu Mo smirked. "Tell Nick Fury I saved him a fortune in pension payouts. The least he can do is thank me—with a fighter jet, preferably."
Hill shook her head with a small laugh.
"I'm not worth a fighter plane. But… I do owe you a proper answer this time."
