Chapter 115 - CHAPTER 116

Return to Kamar-Taj

More than two hours later, Xu Mo walked out of the office looking satisfied.

Avril had just reported that hundreds of tons of silver would be delivered to his designated warehouse the next morning. His immediate goal was secured, and he prepared to leave.

At the company entrance, Zhao Nanzhu hurried after him.

"Boss! About last time—it was my fault. I actually stopped you at the door!"

Xu Mo shook his head. "I already told you, you did nothing wrong. You were doing your job. Don't dwell on it."

"No, it was still my mistake. How about I treat you to dinner tonight to apologize?"

Xu Mo sighed inwardly. Here we go again. The trouble with wealth—once people know your value, they chase harder than anyone else.

Zhao Nanzhu, the so-called ice goddess at the front desk, wasn't immune. She wasn't interested in men without means, but in front of money, her demeanor shifted. Xu Mo understood it well—different positions bred different views.

In his previous life, as an ordinary man, he disliked gold-diggers. But now, as the one they pursued, his perspective had changed. In some ways, they simply reflected the advantages of being rich.

Still, he had no desire to spend more time on her today. He had already gone through two "sessions" that day, and even if there was no cooldown for him, he wasn't going to waste all his time on indulgence.

"I appreciate your kindness," he said politely, "but maybe another time. I have plans tonight."

Disappointment flashed across Zhao Nanzhu's face, but she quickly masked it with a smile. "Alright, but please call me next time you're free." She handed him a business card. "This is my personal number."

Xu Mo slipped it into his storage ring, gave a small nod, and walked away.

---

Finding a quiet corner, Xu Mo stepped into the Star Tower.

Inside, in an unknown dimension, a massive dome over thirty kilometers wide loomed before him. The Beast God was still in its gestation. Xing Ji had accelerated time inside the incubation zone to a million-to-one ratio. One day outside equaled more than twenty-seven centuries within.

Even so, birthing a natural Beast God—especially one infused with both time and space—was no simple matter. Confirming there was still no progress, Xu Mo withdrew.

Checking his accumulated points, he found he had over 32 million. Enough for ordinary immortal-grade plant life, but not enough for higher-tier evolutions. He would need more.

His thoughts turned to the vampires of Earth. Their blood magic originated from the Darkhold, and that same tome contained a spell capable of annihilating every vampire at once.

On his own, the spell was beyond his reach. But he had discovered a magic circle within the Darkhold capable of amplifying dark magic dozens or even hundreds of times. Even with diminishing returns against powerful mages, the amplification would allow him to unleash the vampire-slaying spell on a planetary scale.

There were at least a million vampires across the globe. Wiping them out could earn him hundreds of millions of points. That was why he needed silver—mithril was an essential component for constructing the magic circle.

Resolved, Xu Mo exited the Star Tower, opened a shimmering space door, and stepped through.

---

Kamar-Taj.

In the library, Wong sat at a table with headphones on, munching an apple while studying a spellbook. A portal flickered open in front of him, and Xu Mo stepped out.

Without a word, Xu Mo placed two tuna sandwiches on Wong's desk.

Wong's nose twitched. His eyes lit up when he spotted the food. "These… are for me?"

"That's right," Xu Mo nodded.

Grinning, Wong tore into a sandwich. "How did you know I like this?"

"Guess," Xu Mo said with a chuckle, already walking away.

Watching him leave, Wong muttered around a mouthful, "He seems… like a good guy."

---

A few minutes later, Xu Mo found the Ancient One preparing tea. She had already poured a cup for him.

"Sit," she said warmly, gesturing to the cushion across from her.

"You knew I was coming?" Xu Mo asked, taking a seat.

The Ancient One smiled. "I guessed. Lately, everything I cannot see in the future is tied to you. Even when I looked with the Time Stone this afternoon, it showed me nothing."

Xu Mo froze at her words. So even the Time Stone can't pierce the system or the Star Tower's veil.

That, he decided, wasn't a bad thing.

After a pause, he spoke. "I came here today because there's something I need to tell you in advance."
