Chapter 117 - CHAPTER 117

Humph! Watch Me Kill Them with One Strike!

"You guessed right."

Shiraishi turned around, a smile on his face. "If you want an autograph, wait until I'm done with them—I can sign your chest."

The familiar words reminded Ise Nanao of her own frivolous captain. Her face stiffened subconsciously as she pushed her glasses aside.

"That's a Great Hollow Killian, not just any Hollow. There are six of them. I don't recommend rushing into battle."

"In my opinion, they're just a bunch of fragile horns."

Shiraishi leaped beneath the bone mask of a Great Hollow Killian. With a swing of his sword, the mask shattered, earning him eighty experience points. Another kick sent him in front of the next Hollow.

With another wave of his blade, the next Killian fell. In a flash, he dispatched all six Hollows, landing gracefully amid shocked glances. He chuckled, "Now, any beautiful ladies want my autograph?"

Before Ise Nanao could reply, a scream snapped her out of her thoughts.

Now was no time to linger. The giant Hollows, wild and intelligent, continued their assault. Shiraishi's actions had caused the rear to halt support, increasing pressure on the front lines. Within moments, a soldier was torn apart by a giant Hollow, the gruesome scene a stark reminder of life's fragility.

"Don't just stand there! Continue supporting the soldiers up ahead!" Nanao shouted. Then, glancing back, she didn't ask Shiraishi for help with the giants. Instead, she asked, "Anything else?"

"Well, you're very clever," Shiraishi complimented her. Glancing at the storm ahead, he asked, "Those should be Hollows, right?"

Shiraishi was unfamiliar with the current situation. He had left the Black Chamber and found Zaraki Sou absent, likely unconscious. Unsure of his surroundings, he had sensed the Hollow's spiritual pressure and hurried over to understand the situation before intervening.

"That's the superior Hollow," Nanao answered. "Captain Suimine, Captain Ukitake, and Captain Tōsen are already there. I'm afraid it's not your turn."

"Really? That might not be the case." Shiraishi smiled at the approaching Hollows. His limited experience was a disadvantage—but so was their sheer number. He decided to move toward the superior Hollow.

There was no alternative. Ukitake was prone to slumping, and Tōsen could manage a sneak attack, but neither could confront such a superior Hollow directly. Suifeng… needless to say, he would intervene.

Using Forward Slash, Shiraishi swiftly moved to the scene.

---

Beiliu Soul Street, District 30.

Suifeng tumbled through the air multiple times, narrowly avoiding a rock wall. A blinding bolt of lightning split the mountain. Wind and thunder roared across the landscape.

Genjiro's massive bear-like form radiated white spiritual energy visible to the naked eye. With every step, the earth trembled, like a storm god walking among mortals.

"Damn it! If I don't use my Bankai, the lightning might detonate prematurely. I have to finish this bastard with one strike," Suifeng muttered, feeling frustrated. Without Bankai, breaking through Genjiro's defenses was impossible.

"Hahaha! Death God, with your strength, there's no way you can harm me!" Genjiro's voice boomed as he advanced unhurriedly, forcing Rukongai's inhabitants into panic.

Two figures sprinted toward him.

"Ukitake, Tōsen, you've arrived," Suifeng noted.

Tōsen Kaname raised his head. "Such an immense spiritual flow… it's enormous."

"Bigger than a mountain—probably over a thousand meters," Ukitake Shisanlang estimated.

"I see. To activate the Enma Cricket, we must reach the very top," Tōsen said.

"Wait, Tōsen," Suifeng called, urging caution and discussion first.

"I will not tolerate evildoers trampling peace and justice," Tōsen replied, leaping upward.

"Another ant," Genjiro muttered, spotting the approaching figure. He exhaled, sending destructive lightning bolts downward.

"Pisces Principle!" Ukitake blocked the path with his left Zanpakutō, absorbing the attack. Through his right Zanpakutō's ribbon and five tokens, he transformed the lightning into a bolt that pierced Genjiro's turbulent white energy and struck his head.

"Oh, interesting," Genjiro grinned, scattering the lightning.

Tōsen seized the opportunity. "Bankai, Enma Cricket!" Ten rings formed a vast black barrier around Genjiro's head. In the absolute darkness, even Genjiro paused.

Tōsen attacked the pale bone mask with a basic strike. The recoil numbed his knuckles—the bone mask was tougher than that of a typical high-level Hollow.

"Asshole!" Genjiro roared, slapping the barrier from outside. The world erupted in light, sound, and spiritual pressure.

"Haha, so it's only this small," Genjiro laughed. His bear-fur shoulders tried to ensnare Tōsen, but he dodged.

Rumbling, a violent thunderbolt descended. "Eighty-first Path of Binding: Severing the Sky!"

"Too weak!" Genjiro roared. Hundreds of lightning bolts struck Tōsen, swatted Ukitake aside, and his massive frame stirred a whirlwind.

Suifeng's eyes remained calm. Raising his hand, he commanded, "Go, Sparrow Bee Thunder Whip."

Bang. The whip fired, drawing Genjiro's attention downward. A direct kick struck the tiny weapon, shattering the white spiritual energy cocoon around him. Mountains crumbled to dust from the impact.

Suifeng rolled through the air dozens of times before crashing into a distant mountain, blood spilling. His bones ached, but he strained to raise his head and witness the heart of the explosion.
