They all enter an empty room that seems to serve as a training ground of some sort. Jonathan stops in the middle of the room and turns to the two of them.
"Okay, Dante, this is a training room for sorcerers. This is where we will conduct your lessons, starting with spirit energy."
Dante looks at him, confused. "Spirit energy? Like in fantasy books?"
Daniel chuckles. "Something of the sort. All humans possess spirit energy, but sorcerers learn how to harness it and use it to perform many fantastic things."
Dante nods, beginning to understand, but still not fully grasping the concept. Jonathan continues, "Think of spirit energy as a life source for humans. We use this life energy to perform sorcery." Dante starts to get the idea of what spirit energy is. He recalls the moment when his hand became covered in darkness and remembers the sensation he felt in his fingers before everything happened.
"You remember it, don't you? The tingling sensations going through your fingertips, from your heart to your shoulders, then your arms and hands, and finally your fingers?"
Dante focuses on how Jonathan describes it, but he doesn't feel anything. He feels disappointed but doesn't give up trying to feel the sensation of spirit energy again. After many attempts, he still cannot tap into his spirit energy.
Jonathan watches Dante struggle with his training and thinks about how to help him improve more quickly. Daniel approaches Dante, places a hand on his shoulder, and says, "Don't worry, Dante. This takes time to learn, so just take it one step at a time."
Dante nods subtly. Daniel then turns to Jonathan. "Okay, since we know he won't be able to control it that way, let's teach him actual sorcery."
Jonathan reluctantly nods, agreeing with Daniel. "Dante, I want you to close your eyes and focus. Try to picture a light in the center of your body," Daniel says calmly, a contrast to his usual playful attitude.
'Come on, Dante. You have surpassed all my expectations. Do it again—take hold of your spirit and control it,' Daniel thinks excitedly, waiting to see something beautiful.
Dante focuses hard on trying to find whatever it is that Daniel commands him to. Daniel and Jonathan stand there tensely expecting something to happen.
Dante begins to see many bright orange lights in the darkness feeling their energy strongly. "I see many lights what does that mean?"
Jonathan steps forward "Dante focus bring those lights together to form a sphere!". Daniel grins widely excited more than ever.
Dante focuses intently, reaching out to pull the lights together. They begin to merge, growing larger and larger until they form a giant sphere that could be mistaken for the sun.
Daniel and Jonathan watched Dante, their tense postures ready for anything. Suddenly, a surge of invisible power released from Dante, pushing both Jonathan and Daniel against the wall.
Dante stands at the center, spiritual energy glowing around him, spreading and unstable. "Dante, you must contain your spiritual core; it's unstable!" Johnathan yells, trying to get him to listen.
Dante struggles to control his core. The giant orb begins to fluctuate and dishapes as if about to explode.
'Damn, it hurts so much; it feels like my body is about to tear from the inside,' Dante thinks while struggling to keep the core at bay.
Dante concentrates more intently until he can feel the core in his hands shrinking it down to a small ball of light.
The area around Dante becomes calmer as Dante falls to his knees, allowing Jonathan and Daniel to approach him cautiously.
"Dante how are you feeling are you still in pain?" Jonathan asks kneeling down next to Dante.
Dante nods and replies, "Yes, I no longer feel pain, but I feel different." He places his hand over his chest, feeling a warmth.
Daniel stands next to Dante. "That's your spiritual core that you're feeling now; you have formed one."
"Now you can perform sorcery, but first, you must learn to circulate your spirit energy," Johnathan says while standing up.
Daniel stands there with a satisfied smirk. "Yes, I once again saw it. Dante, you continue to exceed my expectations." Daniel thinks to himself, his smirk widening into a grin.
Johnathan begins to lead Dante and Daniel out of the room. "We'll continue this upstairs in the café in a more calm and comfortable setting."
Johnathan says as he opens the door. Daniel follows, and both make their way up the stairs into the now-closed cafe.
Dante looks out the window, noticing how late it's gotten. The sun has just started to set, and the sky turns orange, illuminating the town.
"I'm sorry, but I need to leave. Can we continue this tomorrow?" Dante asks apologetically.
Johnathan turns to him and nods, "Very well, go home and rest. We can resume tomorrow."
Dante nodded and left for the door. "Have a good evening, both of you!" he yelled, already outside, as he walked home.
Johnathan turned to Daniel and said, "You should also get some rest. You've been working very hard lately. Go home and have a good night, Daniel."
Daniel nods and leaves the café, which is now quiet, as Johnathan stands there alone, also deciding to go home.
