Chapter 68 - You just got served.

Madison Vale arrived five minutes late and smiled like she wasn't.

Julian didn't stand. He'd chosen a glass conference room high in Blackwood Tower with the blinds half-closed. No coffee on the table. No water. No welcome.

"This will be brief," he said.

She took the chair opposite, crossing one leg over the other, perfume sweet and sharp. "You always did like an audience," she said, glancing at the skyline.

"The only audience here is me," he said. "And I'm not entertained."

Her smile flickered. "Then say what you dragged me here to hear." she said getting impatient.

He met her gaze and didn't blink. "I did a DNA test years ago," he said. "Quietly. On my own. The result was negative. You knew it would be. You still told me the child was mine."

She stiffened, then she tried to smile and failed. "You don't…"
