{THIRD PERSON'S POV}
Riven's heart beat hard against his ribs as he stared wide-eyed at who stood between him and Rhaegor.
"Leo?" he breathed.
His hood was drawn low, the fabric of his cloak now wrapped tightly across his face. Only his blue eyes showed through the folds—cold, determined, and burning fury.
Leo's arms strained as he held Rhaegor's heavy blade at bay. Sparks leapt from the grinding edge of the clash, bright as fireflies even in the morning light. His teeth clenched, the muscles in his neck taut. Then, with a roar that tore from deep within him, Leo shoved forward. Metal screeched, and Rhaegor stumbled a few steps back, his boots scraping against the cracked cobblestone.
Riven wasted no time. He snatched up his sword from the ground, his boots pounding on the ground as he moved to Leo's side. Without exchanging a word, the two men lunged at Rhaegor.
