Chapter 109 - Chapter 109: Post-Rain Story

Saotome Meari now realized she had misunderstood Ayanokoji. She secretly breathed a sigh of relief, crossed her arms, and snorted coldly at Kurume: "Don't misunderstand, you. Don't think everyone is like you, always thinking about fulfilling agreements. We're just here to discuss the operation of the casino. That's right, that's it!"

Saotome successfully found a reason for herself to be there.

Kurume Laiwei sighed in disappointment, drawing out her words: "Oh, so that's it…"

Ayanokoji Kiyotaka cleared his throat and issued an eviction notice: "Kurume, you should leave tonight. I have serious business here. I'll find you later."

"Alright…" Kurume Laiwei clicked her tongue in annoyance, but obediently left.

Although Ayanokoji Kiyotaka felt sorry for Kurume Laiwei, and he also had things he wanted to ask her, now was not an appropriate opportunity.

After Kurume left, Ayanokoji and Hanatemari, while diverting Saotome's attention with the subsequent operation of the casino, racked their brains trying to figure out how to reasonably explain that "their parents actually knew each other."

About ten minutes later, the room door was knocked on again.

Who could it be this time? It couldn't be Mikura, could it?

Ayanokoji Kiyotaka muttered to himself as he opened the door.

Standing at the door was Kurume. Ayanokoji Kiyotaka was about to ask her why she came back, but before he could speak, he understood.

Kurume was completely drenched, her hair and clothes soaked through, and her white innerwear was clearly visible beneath her shirt.

"Is it raining outside?"

Kurume Laiwei took off her coat, wrung out the water from it, and said with a frustrated expression: "I hadn't even left the school yet when the rain suddenly started. I didn't have an umbrella, so I just ran back through the rain."

Kurume seemed to feel uncomfortable with her damp shirt. She unbuttoned her clothes, revealing her fair chest, completely disregarding Ayanokoji in front of her, and even seemed to be deliberately showing it to him.

"…You come in first."

Ayanokoji Kiyotaka stepped aside, letting Kurume enter the room. To avoid dirtying the room with her completely wet shoes, she took off her small leather shoes and socks, and walked into the living room barefoot.

Seeing Kurume return, Saotome was quite displeased: "Didn't you go down? Why are you back up again?"

"Who knew it would rain?" Kurume shrugged: "I'm also a transfer student and haven't been assigned a room. If I don't come here, I have nowhere else to go."

Kurume Laiwei looked at Ayanokoji and deliberately pouted: "You wouldn't want me to go back to the station in the heavy rain, would you?"

Ayanokoji Kiyotaka pulled back the curtain and looked outside. Indeed, at some point, it had started pouring rain, and it looked like it wouldn't stop anytime soon.

Ayanokoji thought for a moment: "Kurume, there's a washing machine in the bathroom. Throw your clothes in there to wash. I'll go down and see if I can get you another room."

"Okay!"

Seeing that Ayanokoji Kiyotaka wasn't heartlessly sending her home, Kurume smiled happily and nodded. Saotome wanted to object, but couldn't find a reason.

By the way… with it raining so heavily outside now, she should also consider what she's going to do tonight.

Ayanokoji Kiyotaka went downstairs to get a room. Now, only three girls were left in the room. Although they were all on the same side yesterday, now their thoughts were varied, and they were guessing each other's intentions.

The three looked at each other, none speaking.

Kurume suddenly felt a chill. She shivered, looked down at her soaked clothes, and sighed: "I'll go take care of my clothes."

With that, she went to the bathroom.

The bathroom in this suite was very large, with the shower, toilet, and sink all separate. There was also a washing machine in the bathroom, which had a drying function.

Kurume, while taking off her wet clothes and throwing them into the washing machine, shouted outside: "Do you know where the towels are?"

"The towels are on the second shelf of the cabinet, you'll see them when you open it!" Hanatemari subconsciously replied to her.

"…Hanatemari, how do you know that?" Saotome was a little surprised. How did Hanatemari know the layout of Ayanokoji's room?

"Oh, I've lived in this school for three years, and sometimes my mom would come to see me at school. We would stay in this hotel then. The layout of this hotel is all the same, so the towel location should be the same too."

Hanatemari Kazura explained in a flustered manner.

This reason was quite logical, and Saotome didn't suspect anything.

Hanatemari Kazura felt guilty and quickly stood up: "I'll go get Kurume some clothes to wear!"

She stood up and hurried to the bedroom, taking out a set of women's bathrobes from the room's cabinet.

This suite originally came with two men's bathrobes and two women's bathrobes, but now there was only one of each left inside. The other set had been sent to the laundry earlier that afternoon, and the new set hadn't been delivered yet.

However, by a strange coincidence, as Hanatemari Kazura walked out of the bedroom with the bathrobe, there was a knock on the room door. Saotome thought Ayanokoji had returned, so she quickly went to open the door, but it wasn't Ayanokoji at the door, but a female staff member.

She held two bathrobes in plastic bags, one men's and one women's: "Is this Mr. Ayanokoji's room? The bathrobes he asked us to wash have been sent for cleaning. These two are brand new bathrobes, not worn by anyone else, please rest assured."

Saotome Meari frowned as she listened to the staff, sensing something amiss.

Ayanokoji Kiyotaka entrusted the hotel with cleaning bathrobes...? And two of them?

Hanatemari Kazura, standing behind Saotome, instantly turned pale.

It's over, Saotome is going to find out...

Just as Saotome was a second away from discovering the truth, a pair of hands took the bathrobes from the staff. It was Ayanokoji Kiyotaka.

He nodded calmly at the staff: "Thank you for your trouble. Also, why did I only request one to be cleaned, but you brought two bathrobes, one for a man and one for a woman?"

"Eh?" The staff was stumped, her expression becoming uncertain: "The message I received was that this room had two cleaned…"

"Perhaps the front desk made a mistake?" Ayanokoji Kiyotaka sighed softly: "Never mind, it's fine to have two, I happen to need them here. Just be more careful next time."

Ayanokoji Kiyotaka didn't give Saotome time to react, pushing her into the room and closing the door.

"...Did you really only clean one?" Saotome Meari looked at Ayanokoji with suspicion.

"Otherwise?" Ayanokoji Kiyotaka shrugged, saying nonchalantly: "Last night I was staying here alone. Or did you think I'd be staying with someone else? Kurume or Hanatemari?"

Kurume Laiwei only found out about this room today, and Hanatemari Kazura was even less likely.

Besides the two of them, Ayanokoji Kiyotaka wouldn't interact with other girls. Perhaps the hotel really made a mistake...

Saotome Meari let go of her suspicions and believed Ayanokoji's words.
