Chapter 261 - Chapter 261 Professor Teach Me

By the time the three returned to Litang, Professor Dumbledore finally announced dinner. Kayson picked up his knife and fork, subconsciously about to use his Whirlwind Mouth, but then he remembered that there were foreign guests present...

Just give them a little face and eat slowly.

The meal was neither fast nor slow; after all, no one here was drinking, bragging, or bonding. It was purely for satisfying hunger.

Soon, Professor Dumbledore looked around the Great Hall, and only after confirming that the last person had also closed their mouth did he clap his hands. magic swept away all the leftovers from the tables, then he looked at Kayson and the two Ministry of Magic officials.

Kayson blinked. To be honest... he and Professor Dumbledore really didn't have much chemistry, but it seemed the other two and he had a bit. Ludo Bagman walked out of the Great Hall, then carefully used the Levitation Charm to guide the goblet of fire in through a small door from the corridor.

Kayson stroked his chin. He now knew how the goblet of fire had shattered like that.

Professor Dumbledore also stood up and walked behind his lovely owl lectern.

"Many people ask me..."

"Actually, it seems no one asked you..." Kayson secretly grumbled in his mind, as this kind of self-answering dialogue felt like a "GG Slot for Rent" or something similar would pop up any second.

"How the Triwizard Tournament champions should be selected," Professor Dumbledore continued.

"It is this, the goblet of fire, a sophisticated Alchemy instrument. It will select the champions worthy of the name. You just need to throw in a slip of paper with your name and school on it."

At this moment, a Hogwarts Little Wizards raised his hand: "Professor Dumbledore? Should we just throw it in?"

Professor Dumbledore nodded: "Not yet." With that, he raised his wand and casually tapped it. The next moment, the goblet of fire suddenly blazed with a brilliant blue flame.

"But now, you can throw your names in."

After Professor Dumbledore finished speaking, he saw the two red-haired idea-men at the Gryffindor long table eager to try. He immediately added: "Oh, by the way, the Triwizard Tournament has a seventeen-year-old age limit. Little Wizards under seventeen, please give up this idea. For this, I will set up a magic."

No sooner had Professor Dumbledore finished speaking than the Weasley Twins, faster than the magic, ran quickly towards the goblet of fire, stepping on the long table. In their excitement, they even activated their Alchemy devices, and two turbine-engine-like objects suddenly appeared on their shoulders, instantly propelling them to the goblet of fire.

With perfect synchronicity, they slammed two wads of paper into the goblet of fire.

Professor Dumbledore, who had witnessed the entire process and believed the Twins might not be successfully chosen by the goblet of fire, and had deliberately slowed down, raised an eyebrow. He even shrugged at Professor McGonagall.

The latter, revealing her true lioness nature, took a deep breath, feeling she couldn't be impolite in front of outsiders. Then, without even using her wand, she crooked a finger, and the Twins were inevitably captured by a powerful magic and appeared before Professor McGonagall.

"You two, I need a proper explanation."

As Professor McGonagall's words fell, Professor Dumbledore's age-restriction magic was also cast. A circle of light threatened the goblet of fire, and the magical fluctuations emanating from it could not only block those who were not old enough but also find the slips of paper thrown by those who were not old enough, preventing some people from treating the goblet of fire as a basketball hoop and the restriction magic as a three-point line.

"That's it, everyone, let's end this." Professor Dumbledore smiled, clearly the Twins had put on a show he thoroughly enjoyed.

After Kayson heard Professor Dumbledore say they could leave, he naturally left his seat. Of course, he wasn't going back to his office; he decided to go to the kitchen for some food first, as eating with outsiders watching always felt a bit restrained.

Returning to his office with a bulging paper bag, he saw someone already sitting on the sofa, waiting.

"Oh, Cedric, are you full? Want some more?" Kayson greeted.

Cedric quickly stood up: "No, I'm full... actually, I'll have some more." He said, naturally picking up a pumpkin pie and taking a bite.

"Hm, what's up?" Kayson tore open the paper bag directly to make it easier for Cedric to get food, then he sat on the sofa. Two healthy fruit juices automatically flew in front of them.

"Professor, what do you think of me?" Cedric asked.

"Very good, why?" Kayson asked.

"Professor, I want to be a champion!" Cedric said seriously.

"If you want to be a champion, you should just throw your name into the goblet of fire. To ask me before signing up, that's not like you. You're far more confident than that," Kayson said, raising an eyebrow.

"I mean, Professor, what if I become a champion but can't compete with the champions from the other two schools?" Cedric asked.

"Alright, you're still confident. You've already assumed you'll be a champion." Kayson nodded, then said: "If the goblet of fire chooses you, that means you are the most suitable candidate. Hogwarts has no one more suitable than you. Even if you fail, you are still our pride..."

"Of course, you must keep your life. That's the way, not to gain points by harming yourself or self-mutilation." He added at the end.

"Professor, I don't mean to be afraid, um... maybe it sounds a bit embarrassing, and this kind of thinking is a bit dark, but Durmstrang and Beauxbatons gave us a harsh welcome as soon as they arrived at our school, Professor. Although I'm a Hufflepuff, I also have a temper," Cedric said, his small face flushed.

"...Your face... is as red as a bubble teapot?" Kayson subconsciously said.

"Huh?" Cedric was a bit confused.

"It's nothing. I mean, your thoughts are just normal human emotions. If you didn't have them, you wouldn't be normal... You're not that bad of a person anyway," Kayson said, half-jokingly.

"Heh heh heh heh..." Cedric laughed, a bit embarrassed.

Kayson also started to laugh, and soon he spoke: "I see. You came to me for private tutoring."

Cedric also regained his serious expression: "Professor, teach me!"

I've whittled my dad's Brazil wood into a goblet of fire. Gifts, my family!
