The two arrived together at the base of Gryffindor Tower. Kayson, as a Professor, was quite self-aware. Even if a Professor was popular, suddenly appearing among students who were playing around would likely ruin their good mood. So, the task of calling Harry down naturally fell to Hermione.
Hermione naturally agreed with a nod. Not long after she went up the Tower, Harry came down, fully dressed.
"Professor, is it just us?" Harry asked.
"While I also think having a friend with you is a good idea, this concerns Lord Voldemort, and the fewer people who know, the better," Kayson said, patting Harry's shoulder. The next moment, the two vanished from the spot.
Buzz!~
Dumbledore and Grindelwald, those two old men, clearly couldn't handle Kayson scaring them like that. However, for his apparition this time to cause such a big reaction from them... honestly, it was very strange. Normally, when he apparated in front of either of these old fellows, no matter what they were doing, they wouldn't be so flustered.
But today.....
"You two..." Kayson narrowed his eyes...: "What are you doing?"
"Uh... so next time, please knock... okay?" Dumbledore took a deep breath and said.
"No problem, so what are you doing... You haven't answered my question yet," Kayson asked quietly.
"Why don't we ask Harry, you brought Harry because...."
Kayson subtly sighed. Since Dumbledore had changed the subject like that, he wouldn't press for details. Instead, he got to the point: "Harry's scar on his forehead started hurting during the holidays, and he could even feel emotions from it. What's going on?"
Dumbledore frowned: "Emotions? What emotions?"
Kayson patted Harry, who thought for a moment: "Hmm... joy."
Kayson added: "It was the day of the Quidditch Pitch riot."
"...." Dumbledore leaned back in his chair, his expression obscured by the reflection on his half-moon spectacles. He looked at Grindelwald, who shrugged: "I remember Lord Voldemort made Horcruxes, right?"
Dumbledore nodded: "Harry, could you step out for a moment?"
Harry looked at Kayson, and after seeing him nod, he walked out.
"What does this have to do with Horcruxes?" Kayson asked.
Grindelwald explained: "The method for creating a Horcrux is to split the soul. A Wizard's soul is very strong. Initially, it requires killing someone along with a complex magic ritual to split the soul. But if a person's soul has been split many times, then their soul will become very fragile, and simply killing someone might cause an involuntary split."
"For example, that day, at Harry's house, Lord Voldemort killed Harry's parents, and then Lord Voldemort's soul was unconsciously split. Because souls are attracted to each other, that piece of soul was attracted to Harry and attached itself to Harry," Dumbledore added.
".....So... I'm not particularly knowledgeable about souls, but I still understand some things. Lord Voldemort's soul is now on Harry. The joy Harry felt at the time was the same as Lord Voldemort's. Does this mean we can monitor Lord Voldemort's emotions?"
Dumbledore shook his head: "It's good news, I suppose. Although Tom can also feel Harry's emotions, Harry is just a student, and their emotional resonance is generally beneficial to us. However, Tom will eventually discover that he only needs Occlumency to make Harry blind."
"And there's also bad news."
"What?" Kayson asked.
"Lord Voldemort's emotions are attached to Harry Potter, which means that Harry Potter, at this very moment, is like a Horcrux," Grindelwald stated bluntly.
"..." Kayson stroked his chin, silent.
Dumbledore said bluntly: "This is the worst news. It means that if Harry doesn't die once, Lord Voldemort is invincible."
"...Wait! You said die once!" Kayson suddenly reacted: "You said dying once is enough, so what if he revives immediately after dying?!"
Dumbledore shrugged: "Normally, it wouldn't be possible, but Harry's situation might be workable. This involves the conceptual rule of a magic spell: Avada Kedavra will inevitably cause death when it strikes a life. But what if two lives are struck simultaneously?"
"Two lives? What if Harry dies, but not that fragment of Lord Voldemort?" Kayson asked.
Dumbledore opened his mouth to say something, then suddenly recalled an unpleasant memory, and immediately stood up, moving at least five meters away from Kayson: "Unfortunately, Harry won't have that good fortune."
Kayson's mouth twitched: "So..."
Dumbledore moved again, until he was standing behind Grindelwald.
"Relax, I won't make a move. It would make me look like a violent maniac... I still have some tricks up my sleeve," Kayson said, his mouth twitching as he looked at Dumbledore's expression.
"What?" Grindelwald was very curious about what kind of heaven-defying item an Alchemy Professor's trump card would be.
Kayson shrugged. He touched his ring and pulled out a small golden figure from inside it.
"What if Harry wears this?"
Dumbledore exclaimed in surprise: "Is this Alchemy???"
"I just need to know if this thing can protect Harry. I only have one," Kayson said.
"The problem is how to make this thing protect only Harry's soul and not Tom's fragment. Otherwise, it's still as I said before, a matter of luck," Dumbledore shook his head.
Grindelwald, sitting on the corner sofa, tsk-tsked twice and shook his head.
"What's your plan?" Dumbledore looked at Grindelwald.
"The Elder Wand," Grindelwald said, choosing his words carefully.
Dumbledore frowned. He looked at the Elder Wand in his hand: "It won't harm its master...."
"...So?" Kayson looked at the two speaking in encrypted code, utterly bewildered.
